Veronica
Veronica has found her forever family! Not only does she have a mom & dad, but also a fur sibling named Roary. She also has a new name, Junie. So adorable!! She goes on runs with her family, and can do a couple of miles. They took her on a backpacking trip for 4 days. She loved being outside and sleeping in a tent. She is the perfect hiking buddy. Her family has found that Junie is a great dog buddy. She loves meeting new dog friends, and impresses people with her positive attitude. She is gentle and patient when it comes to dog intros, and as soon as she sees that a dog i smore relaxed with her, she lets herself be more energetic. Her utmost favorite thing is to cuddle, and has no problem laying on top of her people. More updates to follow!!

Mack
The game is changed forever for our sweet boy!
Puppy Mack goes to his forever home!🥳😭❤️
It hasn't been an easy ride for our precious guy... he was born in the blistering heat of Sacramento Summer in a box truck... It is ASTONISHING his momma was able to keep him & his siblings alive for as long as she did; all the while fending off other strays, riddled with ticks & no regular food or water.
She managed to keep them safe until we arrived🙏🏽
Pup Mack, the only male of his litter, had a broken tail. Literally had his tail broken at a 90 degree angle at just days old... He suffered through the pain until we arrived and got him the surgery he needed- to amputate his broken tail that caused him constant pain & discomfort. Mack is a special soul. He is sweet, gentle, loving, playful, affectionate, good with ALL animals & never met a human he didn't absolutely adore: big or small- Mack loves them all!
To think of what he's been through & still be so loving: Well, that's why we dedicate our lives to saving them. Mack IS why we do what we do😭❤️
Mack had lots of applications & interest but we knew none of them were HIS family until his new dad came along. He had watched his entire journey from the day we rescued the whole family, to his foster journey, to his surgery, to his post-op complications. He already knew everything about him & loved him from afar so we were thrilled when Mack chose him at the official Meet & Greet!
These two are a match made in heaven & we can't wait to see Mack exploring all that life has to offer with his new dad!
'His future is clear'🎵🎵
We love you beautiful boy & we are so honored to have been part of your journey that led you to your amazing forever poppa!😭❤️❤️

Zoey
Zoey was adopted out from the shelter to someone less than ideal. They took her home and exposed her to a cat immediately: which she killed🤦🏽♀️
So after humans failed her TWICE: once landing her in the shelter in the first place, then again when the idiots adopted her from the shelter and set her up for failure. Yeah I said it: idiots. Not sorry.
She was then labeled non-adoptable & was considered a liability. Screw you, we'll take her!
We busted her out of death row & set her up with a loving, RESPONSIBLE, veteran foster family. She met other dogs, even small dogs, kids of all ages: got the training & structure she needs and BAM: THE PERFECT DOG💝
Zoey is an absolute sweetheart! We don't have unrealistic expectations: fact is we are more surprised if a dog DOESN'T kill prey. So we hold nothing against her. She is balanced, happy, trained now, loving and the absolute best version of herself ❤️
So after 11 months in our rescue we finally found her perfect family! If you know us you know we don't just give our dogs to anyone. We don't rush. Our dogs are with us on average 6 mos - 1.5 years. That is also why we don't get our dogs returned 🔥
Sometimes it can take a year to understand them & their needs completely, so rather than learn through trial & error with the wrong adopters: we hold out and reject about 95% of the applications we receive. We do this for them and we refuse to fail them like everyone before us. That is who we are & what we are about.
Happy tails beautiful girl. We love you SOOOOOOO much!!

MARGOT
aka "Pebbles"
|
Welcome home, Margot!! Here is an update from her forever family:
"Margot has been doing really well in her new home! While we were in Tahoe, she absolutely loved the river right in her backyard. Every morning we would go on a long walk alongside the river, and she eventually gained enough confidence to start swimming! She's now a huge fan of fetching sticks and balls in all different bodies of water. Back in the Bay Area, Margot is obsessed with all of her pup cousins. Tiffany, a pomeranian mix, is her favorite playmate. When we're at Tiffany's house, those two do not stop playing. We've since moved back to the East Bay with Margot and she's settling into the new lifestyle really well. She loves to watch the squirrels in her backyard and play tug of war with all of her toys. This morning we went along the coast and she had a blast. She loves the ocean, spotting birds, and just being outside in general. Here's a couple things we've learned about Margot over these past couple of months: 1. She's an extrovert! She loves hanging out with other dogs and new people 2. She's a an expert cuddler. She loves winding down the day on the couch with us and is trying to keep us to an 8pm bedtime so she can wake up refreshed and raring to go 3. She loves to train! We've been working on basic commands like sit, stay, wait, leave it, down, and recall. She responds well to both treats and praise! 4. She loves to run! Summer's mom is a marathoner, and Margot has done a couple of training runs with her. Her favorite place to run is Nisene Marks in Santa Cruz. She keeps a solid pace throughout an entire run and loves meeting different dogs on the trail as she trots. 5. She's a very goofy gal. We think she's the perfect mix of intelligence and goofiness." |

Reese has been adopted by the most wonderful family. She has an Instagram account that you can follow to see all of her new adventures: miss_reeses_pieces. Here is her first post:
"Hi guys! It’s me, Reese! Been at my new family’s since Sunday. Lots of new things going on. I’m still adjusting. One thing I can for sure say is they have TONS of comfy places to sleep but have been taking me on WAY too many walks so far. Half a block is my limit. My new dad snores as much as me, so that’s something we have in common aside from loving naps. He’s my fave so far. I’ll send another pupdate soon!" |

BRIDGETTE
|
It's official...Bridgette is a city girl living in a high rise aparement in San Francisco! Here are some updates from her dad:
February 2022 to March 2022 Bridgette took a few weeks to adjust to her new life. She loves Snow Park (despite the lack of snow), and her new toys! There were some indoor elimination accidents here and there. At some point in March, Bridgette really got the hang of her new routines. She no longer has any indoor accidents! Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with ear infections, so ear drops were necessary, and we've established a new routine of cleaning her ears twice a week. April 2022 to June 2022 Bridgette's nose had developed a hefty layer of build-up, but after just 1 week of using Natural Dog Company Snout Soother, most of the cruft is gone! We've also discovered a regular gathering of dogs and their owners at Snow Park almost every day at 5pm, so it's a nice way for Bridgette to socialize with other dogs on a frequent basis. Bridgette has really settled into her new life! She's no longer fussy about me cleaning her ears, and she's started to anticipate parts of her routine such as when it's time for a walk. I took Bridgette to meet some of my friends in various parts of the Bay Area, so I got a lot of use from her harness, the car seat cover and dog car seat belt that I bought. Bridgette is so well-behaved around new people and new dogs! July 2022 So far, the highlight has been taking her to the Stern Grove Music Festival in San Francisco. You can see photos of Bridgette surrounded by some bubbles that nearby families were blowing. She loved it! |

DERBY
We are so excited to share that our sweet, goofy little man finally got the forever family he has always dreamed about!!!
For those who don't know, Derby came to us from Stanislaus County Shelter where he PASSED shelter assessment and was placed up for adoption. However, being part goat, he was able to climb the kennels on the adoption floor so he was hidden in quarantine with dully enclosed kennels & nobody every knew he was there. After 30 days with no interest he was up next for euth but the volunteers there wouldn't let that happen. They hounded us until we finally gave & took on this sweet boy! Derby had months of training with us & his foster families, then the amazing happened! The PERFECT couple came for him!! With 2 dogs of their own, one of which has their own issues, they were understanding & willing to the work to integrate all 3 dogs. We had MULTIPLE pack walks and discussed everything under the sun to setup all 3 dogs for a lifetime of success! Today Derby LOVES his new home, he has land to run with his siblings, lizards to chase & tons of love & affection! His parents continue to work with him to to ensure he is always setup for success. We couldn't be happier for our sweet, naive, lovable, goofy boy! They love him just as he is, and for that, we love THEM Happy Tails sweet boy, after 2 years, you finally get your happy ending!! |
LIBBY LOU
FAT BOTTOM GIRLS RULE THE WORLD!! After being labled rescue only at the shelter because they thought she was pregnant, PCS rushed into action to get Libby Lou in the nick of time. OOPS! Turns out she was not preggers... just a little thicc!! Libby scored herself the perfect family including the best fur brother a girl can ask for! After several meetups, we knew they were the absolute perfect fit! Libby now spends her days hiking the gorgeous trails in the Bay Area with her new brother and sunbathing on her very own deck in the nice cool weather. Her allergies were horrible in Sacramento but at her new home, her fur has filled in beautifully and she is thriving on every level! |
HAZEL MAE
SUPER SPOILED HAPPY GURL!! We cannot tell a lie! All of us at PCS are a little bit jealous of Hazel Mae! Hazel Mae and her new Mom live in such a dog friendly town that Hazel Mae goes shopping more than we do!! She is living the absolute best life with her new Momma who spoils her absolutely rotten! Plus, Hazel Mae loves strawberries so much that her Momma is going to plant a strawberry patch just for Hazel Mae!! |
SUMMER
FROM SHUTDOWN TO LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT! It was love at first sight for our beautiful girl and her furever Mom and Dad! She is going to have so much fun going on adventures and helping baby-sit two little humans! This adoption had a first for PCS... we had to do a tortoise check! Yep. You read that right! Summer has a tortoise sibling who is 80 years old!! :) When Summer came to us she was completely shut down in the shelter. Little by little her loving and playful side blossomed in foster care. Also... she still does not like to have her picture taken. LOLOL |
BEAR BEAR
NOTHING BUT THE GOOD LIFE!! After being spoiled rotten by his foster family to the point where he had to go on pancake restriction , everyone's favorite, Bear Bear, got the perfect family! We were not sure if Bear Bear would be put into our Hospice program or adoptable as his medical and special diet needs are pretty expensive. Thankfully, Bear Bear's new Mom and Dad did not let any of his special needs stop them from applying for him. Bear Bear just wants a sunny spot outside to bask in the rays, a comfy bed in the AC, steps to get into bed with you, and all the food he can con you out of. And that is EXACTLY what he got! Bear-Bear is the apple of his new parents eyes. Their whole life now revolves around him & we couldn't be more happy for our sweet, silly, perfectly-imperfect teddy Bear-Bear. |
DUKE (FKA DUCKIE)
THIRD TIME REALLY IS THE CHARM!! Duke came to us after being dumped twice. He was so nervous in the shelter that he was deemed unadoptable and rescue only. Previous PCS adopters fell in love with Duke and just had to have him. After three weeks of crate and rotating, Duke and his fur sister, Daisy are inseparable! They have to be by each others side constantly. When Duke goes for his weekly spa treatments, Daisy waits by the door crying the entire time. When Daisy gets to go somewhere without him, Duke does not cry, he SCREAMS BLOODY MURDER!!!!! Safe to say... Duke has definitely found his furever home!! |
AUTUMN
A RESCUE FAIRYTALE HAPPY ENDING!! After TWO YEARS waiting for the perfect furever family... THEY CAME!! This was an emotional adoption for all of us here at PCS. Autumn came to us and needed time to heal from abuse, both physically and mentally. She blossomed in her loving foster home which gave us time to get to know her so when the perfect family came for her we would know it. Well... Autumn knew the moment she met them. It was love at first kiss. We think Autumn's happy face in her gotcha picture says it all! |
RUBY

BAILEY
Bailey came to us with her one surviving baby after she was running stray in traffic in Delano County. A lot of shelters and rescues are quick to take puppies and leave the mama behind, but that's not how we roll! We brought both in and after about a week, Bailey let a know she was ready for her last baby bird to leave the nest. Bailey absolutely loves other dogs! An amazing family came to adopt their newest family member, but had applied for 2 different dogs. After reviewing their application, our amazing Adoption Coordinator just knew Bailey was the one for them. We insisted they meet her as well and it was an instant connection! We were also thrilled to find out that Bailey had a little rescue dog in the extended family to befriend. We introduced the two and it was no surprise that Bailey was an absolute angel. We are so happy Bailey has an amazing new home and parents who will treat her like the little princess she is! |
MURPHY
Murphy came to us after being dumped at Marqueen Animal Hospital back in November. A seemingly unstable man came in and demanded they take him back for a Parvo test. This individual proceeded to cause a seen and was clearly not of sound mins. They took Murphy to the back and the man climbed over the desk to steal their office iPad and ran, leaving the puppy behind!
We received a call asking if we could help, and of course we couldn't say no to a 4 week old innocent baby. He was negative for parvo, but full of worms and scared of his own shadow! Thanks to his loving foster home, Murphy grew up to be a confident, happy, goofy guy! We are beyond excited that he has been adopted by a previous adopter of ours! We love repeat offenders! This family adopted a dog from us 5 years ago! When it was time to grow their family by 4 paws, they came to us to help match them with the best pup for their family. Murphy now lives with an amazing family in Petaluma where he has 4 human siblings and a PCS alum k9 brother! They are two peas in a pod and we are so happy he found his forever home! |
CHESTER
We have some exciting news!! Our sweet little hospice senioe, half blind, 13 year old Pomeranian has gone to his forever home! Chester was sent to us with Hannah the Hippo from the Moreno Valley Shelter as a "bonded pair," but we had our suspicions as they weren't housed together and there was no mention of them coming in to the shelter together. We still took both but found that they were not bonded and actually THRIVED when separated. Chester is a mess, intact, missing half his teeth and gums, blind in one eye, and has a stage 4-5 heart murmue so he can never be safely neutered AND he's too old for heart surgery. We knew we would have to find the perfect adopter for him, and boy did we! A wonderful couple came forward, understanding all his issues and years of neglect, and STILL wanted him for however long he has left. We altered our adoption contract to a hospice contract, vowing to support them financially and with anything else they need for Chester for the duration of his life. We waived their adoption fee and provided a lifetime of supplies, food, treats, crates, strollers, steps, beds.. everything they need for the little guy and his new sister. He loves his new house and family and we could not be happier for him!!

BAE
ITS OFFICIAL!! BAE IS ADOPTED AFTER A YEAR IN HER FOSTER HOME! This is yet another foster fail! BUT our foster families are so amazing, they understand we still need foster home so they have taken Millie to foster as well!
Bae came to us in horrendous shape. The shelter had done all they could to treat her skin but unfortunately the stress of the shelter wasn't allowing her to fully recover. When we were asked to take her into our program, we had no idea what a sweetheart she truly was or how long it would take to heal her physically and emotionally.. but time is NEVER a concern for us. Our priority is always what is best for the individual dog. From the second she arrived via transport, she gave us an enormous hug and has been nothing but a loving, sweet, affectionate doll ever since. Bae has been in three foster homes over the last 2 years. She started with Ilbra for decompression and evaluation. Then she went to a loving foster family with dogs and human pups, who she adored. BUT her most recent foster family has decided they just can't let her go and she has to be part of their FOREVER family. And we simply couldn't be more happy for our sweet girl. Bae absolutely loves all her k9 siblings from the grumpy old man lab, to the little miss attitude mix, to the senior Pomeranian. |
ASPEN
It feels like just yesterday when we received a text from a volunteer explaining that their cousin found a dog on the side of a busy road in a crate with a 'free' sign. I remember thinking, "where the hell are we going to put her?" but instead my response read, "tell your cousin to take her home and I'll go get her tomorrow." THEN I remember thinking, how am I going to tell the rest of the team we just took in another dog.
The puppy looked like our Cupid who has just been adopted. Then I remember his family wanted to adopt a second dog eventually and I suggested they foster in the meantime. So I reached out and told them the situation. To my delight they were happy to give this sweet baby a temporary home and thus save her life. As time went on, we learned that Aspen had some issues: separation anxiety, resource guarding, leash reactivity... all fear based and insecurity of course. So we worked through these issues and deep down I already knew she was home. As her issues began to level out, she gained confidence in her pack, and as she began to trust again, Aspen's true personality began to blossom. So it came as no surprise when we got the message, " we know we can't adopt a second dog for at least a year after Cupid (according to our adoption contract), and we know we can't apply for our own foster for at least 6 months (according to our foster contract), BUT we absolutely love her so we wanted to let you know we're interested." We discussed it as a team and given that Aspen was flourishing there, and given that she had overcome so many obstacles already, moving her to ANOTHER new environment would be detrimental to her wellbeing. Rules are meant to be broken and the dogs are always our number one priority. Aspen is home! She is thriving with the cats, bunnies, and her new brother Cupid. She has come so far and we can't wait to continue to grow in her loving foster turned FOREVER home. |
CHANDLER
We are so excited to announce that our adorable puppy Chandler has gone to his forever home! Chandler was dumped at an LA County Shelter where he was so terrified, he had to be dragged to his kennel after his owner dumped him there because he wasn't supposed to have a pit bull type dog where he lived. Now only did this guy buy a "blue nose puppy" off of an illegal breeder, he never neutered or vaccinated him and just dumped at the shelter.
We don't adopt our dogs to just anyone. We verify home ownership, home owners insurance restrictions. We require our dogs to be indoor, crate trained dogs with outside privileges and we do not allow dog parks. We had Chandlers new family come meet us from SF to see if it was a love connection, and it sure was! The next step was to have them come back with their dog. They were instructed to arrive an hour early to allow their dog to work off some energy and become familiar with the neutral environment. Unfortunately, Chandler was too excited to make a new friend which made his new sister too nervous. SO, we suggested a third meeting where we would bring Chandler to SF to a park that is familiar to her so she could be herself. That did the trick!! The two of them walked side by side, sniffed everything, and even shared a few kisses on our pack walk. Last but not least was a home visit and assessing their engagement in the home environment. The rest is history! |
ABBY
Abby was in our rescue for a few months after a sneaky owner surrender situation. We were told Abby and her sister were found running down the street nearby. Come to find out, they made up an elaborate story so we told them to just give us the puppies and go. Fast forward several months and 2 AMAZING foster homes who stepped up to help these innocent babies. Once they were separated and given one on one attention by their foster families they thrived! Together they were codependent and it hindered their growth. With a little patience and a lot of love, consistency, and effort, both girls developed into the confident, happy, sweet girls we knew they could be. As it turns out, they weren't pitty puppies, they were small dog mixes, but they were simply adorable with HUGE personalities. We were so excited when we received an app from a pair of adult sisters who share a love for small rescue dogs. The meet and greet was a love connection and the dog intros wen excellent as well. Abby fit right in and now she gets to live her life being spoiled and loved beyond measure. |
AMARI
We are so darn excited to share that our sweet, sensitive, ENORMOUS puppy Amari has found her forever home after being born in our rescue and after an entire YEAR in her foster home! Amari is part of our Christmas Miracle Litter and one of Mama Noel's babies.
Amari is a sensitive girl so we knew she would need slow, proper intros with another dog... and her new brother is a very vocal, 'only child syndrome' dachshund. After over an hour of pack walking at a distance, we walked back to his home where we further evaluated the two. We decided that with the resident dogs temperament and personality that we needed to crate and rotate for a week and conduct a trial to see if he lightens up once we're out of the picture. We were thrilled to hear that after a few days had passed the two were running and playing in their backyard, going for walks to the park together, and sharing a bed. Every dog is different, so while we have our basic safety protocol and adoption procedures, we also have to consider the resident pets and their needs. Amari and her bossy new brother play nonstop. She lets him be himself and he has let his guard down. We were also super happy to learn that Amari has formed a very special bond with the family's teenage son. SHe follows him everywhere, sleeps with him and he walks her twice a day. She is adored beyond belief and we know in our hearts that she waited this long for her human boy to find her. |

Macie
December 2019
MACIE HAS BEEN ADOPTED AFTER 3 YEARS IN OUR RESCUE!! We are beyond thrilled to announce that our beautiful little hippo has finally received her happily-ever-after! Macie is one of those situations where she is absolutely perfect and for the life of us, we couldn't understand just why she hadn't been swooped up! Well, now we know! Her perfect family hadn't come yet! When we received the app, it was originally for Muffin. After our AMAZING Adoption Coordinator reviewed the details of her app, lifestyle and everything... she knew Muffin was not a good fit. We discussed the application as a team and knew that Macie was their girl. Understandably, the applicant was shocked to hear Muffin was not a good fit, and to be perfectly honest, was put off that we made such an assumption before meeting him. BUT we knew that as soon as we had a formal meet and greet, we could explain in greater detail, which is exactly what we did. By the end of our process they were thanking us! Praising our efforts and how far we go in order to make sure our dogs are adopted by the right family for them, and we match our adopters with the right dog as well. Now Macie gets to be the queen of her castle! She has an enormous beautiful home with her new dad and grandpa. Macie's dad is a retired police officer. They are home most of the time and wanted a dog that could lounge around with them, cuddle during movies, run errands with them, and sleep on the bed! She waited 3 years so they could find her and now shes home! |
Farrah
October 2019
Farrah was home all along! After over a year in her foster home, it became clear to all of us that she was already home. She is an absolute perfect dog so with each application we would review for her, there was always something that just didn't seem right. No, you cannot keep her outside all day. No, you cannot leave her in your garage. No, you cannot take her to a rental property in another state. No, you cannot label her a lab on your Home Owners Insurance. No, you cannot crate her for 15 hours a day. Just NO! After each meet and greet, her foster mom would tell us, "I know we don't foster to adopt, but if the right home doesn't come along, I'd like to adopt her!" The reason we don't foster to adopt normally is because we need our fosters homes so we can save more dogs! Not to mention, we do not want people taking on a foster to try them on for size and then call us in a month saying they need to go when there is no other foster space. We also review and screen people behinds the scenes so if a foster suddenly decides to keep a foster after said family has jumped through weeks of hoops with us, that is not fair to our adopters. With that said, we have rules: Our foster has to wait 6 months before they are even eligible to apply for their foster pup. This gives our preapproved adopters and applicants a fair chance. We also require our foster adopter to foster another dog afterwards, this way the rescue does not suffer and lose a foster home. After weighing all the factors, nobody was right for Farrah for the past year because she was already home. She fits seamlessly with the pack, loves her parents and makes an excellent couch potato. She was where she was meant to be all along! |
Ricky
August 2019
We LOVE repeat offenders! When we received an application from a previous adopter who had unfortunately recently lost their male dog, and now our PCS Alumni Bailey was lonely and acting out, we just KNEW Ricky was for them! We know Bailey very well. She was our foster for months and has always been a dog that needs her pack and slow intros. She tends to be reactive on a leash and needs a counter balance of energy in a male dog and confident handler. Her brother was that for the past 4 years but after he passed away, she lost her confidence and security. We had a formal meet and greet and I personally handled Bailey while meeting Ricky and she took right to him! He is a calm, balanced pup who does no get overexcited and tends to shy away when anther dog is too much so she INSTANTLY approved. A few pack walks later and they were playing off leash for hours. We KNEW it was the perfect match! Ricky will spend his days days going to kids soccer games, football games, swim meets! Bailey is so happy and calm again! She is absolutely loving having a new brother and the two adore each other! |
Anabelle
August 2019
We are so excited the our sweet, little, Mama Anabelle has gone to her forever home! Anabelle came to us from the Stanislaus County Animal Shelter where the Rescue Coordinator had her in her office under her desk, very pregnant, and very scared! We busted her out and shortly after she gave birth to her beautiful babies in a loving foster home! She was an AMAZING mama! After all babies left to live their happy endings, Anabelle waited patiently for her turn for a forever family! Well that turn came and the most incredible family came for our precious mama! Anabelle is such a sweet girl and she finally gets to be a puppy! Enjoy your happy ending sweet girl, the road ahead shall be much brighter! |
Beatrix
July 2019
Our beautiful Beatrix goes home! Beatrix was one of our Christmas Miracle Litter babies. She had a bit of a rough start to her life as her Mama Noel was emaciated, homeless and roaming the streets of Modesto pregnant beyond comprehension. Thanks to a good samaritan, we were made aware of this gorgeous, pregnant girl and thanks to an even more amazing, selfless foster who stepped up, Mama Noel was saved right in the nick of time! She went into labor within a few days and had an exceptionally difficult labor resulting in a race to the ER for an emergency c-section midway through. Mama Noel had 16 puppies in there, and sadly most of them were stilborn. Based on the horrendous condition Noel was in, we were thrilled the 6 little miracles survived! The doctors didn't think that Mama Noel would make it either, but by a Christmas Miracle, she did! Our sweet Beatrix was born with most of her tail missing, so she has the cutest little nub. We were so happy to see her run zoomies through her new beautiful yard and house with her nub wagging a million times a minute. Beatrix now enjoys the run of the house and the princess she is! She sleeps in bed with her parents, two walks a day, and she is doted on morning, noon, and night just like she deserves! Happy tails sweet girl! |
Juliet
July 2019
Juliet has left the building! Our beautiful puppy has found her perfect match and we couldn't be more thrilled! Juliet is from the Valentine's Litter and she had a bit of a rough start. After Mama Valentine and her three babies, Cupid, Romeo, and Juliet were found on the streets of Wasco, they came to our rescue starving, neglected, and afraid of their own shadows. A foster through socia media stepped up, but unfortunately the foster was subpar and the four dogs were not getting the attention they needed and deserved. Our team jumped into action after she threatened to dump them and four amazing fosters stepped up for these babies. From then on, they all flourished! Juliet came out of her shell and she became a confident, sweet, darling little girl thanks to her AMAZING foster home. Her luck continued when this family saw her and knew she was the missing piece to their family. Juliet and her new K9 brother are two peas in a pod, and after slow and proper intros, they were all tailwags and wrestle mania! The wrestling continued at the home inspection and Juliet is already loved beyond measure just like she deserves! |
Freddie
June 2019
Our sweet little nugget Freddie goes home!! And the best part? A previous adopter who adopted Maddie from us four years ago adopted her second pup from us. We LOVE repeat offenders! The family came up from San Francisco for a formal meet and greet, and proper dog intros and sure enough, Freddie was the perfect fit! Freddie and his new sister are so lucky to have an amazing forever family! Here's to Freddie living his best life! <3 |
Honor
May 2019
We are so excited to announce that our beautiful little girl FINALLY found her perfect home! Honor had all the odds stacked against her... she is black, a pit mix and unfortunately black dogs do not get adopted quickly...not to mention she is a mix so "not pitty enough" for pitty lovers and "too pitty" for others. Honor is an exceptional puppy! Smart as a whip and sweet as can be. So when an amazing family applied for 2 other dogs, we suggested her after the other two were not accepted by the grand-dog (their adult daughters dog who visits frequently so we wanted to be sure they could live in harmony). With slow, proper intros, we were able to learn about Daisy (resident dog) and based on her, we recommended Honor....whose energy matched with Daisy's quite well! We had 3 visits/dog intros. The second visit was in the home where we spent several hours properly introducing the two girls and talking to the family about how to manage them safely so everyone is happy. They were more than willing to take all of our recommendations. Daisy had some areas to improve on as well, so we spent more time on discussing how to manage Daisy appropriately, how to properly correct unwanted behaviors, how to manage their play and such. We are so happy for our sweet girl and we just know she and Daisy will become the closest of friends! Happy tails sweet girl, we cannot wait to see you at PCS Play Group! |
Loretto
May 2019
We are so excited to announce that another puppy from our Christmas Miracle Litter has gone to their PERFECT forever family!!!! Loretto will live his days wrestling and cuddling with two little humans all his own. His days will be filled with walks, playing, cuddling, and going everywhere with his family. Just yesterday we were at Pet Food Express and the manager said to us, "your adopted puppy Loretto was here shopping with his family this morning!" So he is already being spoiled rotten and just as he should be Happy tails sweet boy! |
Liberty
May 2019
We are so excited to announce that our little moo-cow baby girl Liberty has gone to her FOREVER HOME! Liberty was part of our Righteous League Litter who had a rough start to life.... Momma Anabelle struggled to find comfort in a home environment to give birth and several pups were born with unexplainable eye infections, which subsequently caused our little engine that could Titan to loose one eye. BUT all of the pups grew big and strong and we are so thrilled to announce another adoption for our sweet baby!! Happy life sweet baby girl, we are beyond happy you finally got your happily-ever-after!! |

Jack
|
April 2019
Our very own Dobby the House Elf look alike has found his forever home! Jack is a sweet boy and the last of the Three's Company Litter to be adopted. It is hard to believe that this is the same puppy who would pancake anytime someone tried to pet him... or urinate out of fear when he heard loud noises. 💔💔 Today he gets to cuddle with his new two little hoomans and go for daily pack walks and play tug of war with his two older k9 brothers Noodle & Tyson❤ They are the most adorable little trio 😁🐶🐶🐶 It's funny really, so many people complain about our lengthy screening/matching adoption process and yet, we continue to match up our amazing adopters with the best dog for them, despite who they originally had interest in! We strongly believe that the dogs do the choosing and we just do our best to facilitate things. This wonderful family came to us with interest in a female adult pit bull and after 4 different meet and greets, wound up with a young Male pit mix who won the hearts of he whole entire family AND who both k9 older brothers chose as well!! Jack fits right in and we are so excited for his future with a loving, patient, dedicated family who will show him what true, unconditional love really is❤ We knew that with a little bit of patience and a lot of luck Jack would find his perfect match. He agrees that Three is Company and cannot wait to see what his future with his dog friends and human family brings. |
Sadie
|
April 2019
Everyone's sweetheart Sadie has found her forever home. She is surrounded by love and we couldn't be happier. She has people and cats to play with. She has come a long way from the shelter. They originally thought that Sadie was pregnant, but she never had puppies while she was in our rescue. She has been with us since the beginning of November 2018. She has settled in perfectly. We are happy to see this little nugget smiling from ear to ear. |
Titan (now Arlo)
|
March 2019
We are so excited to announce that our little engine that could Titan, has officially been adopted!!!!!! Here is a sneak peak back at our little boys rough start... his litter was born with infections in their eyes (all 3 of our vets had never seen anything like it!!!), at just 2 weeks old, the lens out of his right eye popped out through is cornea and iris (completely intact!)....giving his foster mom a heart attack at 3 am one night... ultimately leading up to Titan undergoing not one, but TWO major operations at just 3 weeks old 💔💔 To a slow and steady recovery away from his siblings and momma....to making it through every complication and tribulation life threw his way! Titan is such an amazing puppy and we can honestly say that most babies his age, would not have survived everything he has been through, especially at such a young, vulnerable age. BUT... our little Titan is a true warrior and came out on the other side.. even stronger💪🙏❤❤❤ Titan has blossomed into a confident, brave, outgoing, loving pup who brightens up an entire room with his amazing energy and positivity! We are SO very proud of him and we could not be more happy to announce that he will have not one, but TWO little human brothers he can continue to explore and grow with ❤ From all his trauma as a young baby....to a life filled with trips to the race track with his little humans, to cuddling with his big Pitbull sister, Titan will go on to be a true breed ambassador, not to mention... a LIFE ambassador ❤💪🐶🙌 We will miss his adorable facial expressions and precious head tilts😭.... but we are so dang happy he will finally have an amazing life filled with new adventures and all the love his precious heart can handle. You truly deserve every bit of it my sweet, dear boy. Your PCS family is so very proud of you and we cannot wait to see your forever home journey through life❤😭🙏 **PSA** We did politely ask his new momma to make him an IG account so all his supporters, fans and believers can watch him grow❤ Paws crossed they make him one!!🤞🤞 You may get to see Titan in Mike Ruiz's puppy calendar for 2020. Thank you to everyone who donated for Titan's multiple emergency medical care and to everyone who rooted and prayed for our amazing puppy to pull through! We couldn't have done it with out all of you❤🙏 Titan is now Arlo and can be found on Instagram at @barking_pit_crew |
Hero
|
March 2019
This poor gentle soul was an owner seizure in Kern County off a property and the owner could not be found for prosecution. Appears that they moved and left him there....He was either used as a bait dog or he was mauled by another dog/dogs who continued to attack him even when he was laid out. He has been surrounded by dogs in the shelter kennel and he did well.... DESPITE everything....we feel he didn't fight back and he was just nearly mauled TO DEATH. Despite all that....the love and forgiveness in his eyes are overwhelming. He is our hero and we are so happy that he found his forever family. He fit right in. |
Brad Pit
|
March 2019
We are so happy for Brad. We waited until the perfect family showed up and we are happy to say he found his home. He will be able to take walks with the local neighborhood dogs. He has settled in perfectly. He was rescued from a shelter in July 2018 (along with Ruby, Farrah, and Hero) thanks to our partnership with Marley's Mutts. If you want to follow Brad on instagram, he has his own account. @brad_the_pitbull |
Janet
|
February 2019
We are so incredibly happy for our shy little girl. She was rescued from a shelter in September or October with her siblings Chrissy and Jack for being too plain. All of the other puppies were spoken for. Janet has slowly come out of her shell with a lot of care an patience. She has found the best possible family for her. We wish them all the best. |
Holly
|
February 2019
If you have been following our rescue, then you've seen the photos of the "XL Pup" that was abandoned and left in the deplorable yard of a low income housing unit in Rodeo CA. She was living in filth, garbage, her own waste and lord only knows what else.....her photos haunted us and we knew we had to get her out of there....So thanks to an AMAZING foster who stepped up we were able to save this little beauty!! As it turns out, Holly is not a pup! She is about 1.5 years old and a true American Staffordshire Terrier or "Am Staff." She is a tiny little thing but absolutely full grown🐶 Despite her horrible past, she truly has the temperament of an angel. We feel so blessed we were able to save this little girl from such a horrific existence....thanks to a good Samaritan neighbor who reached out for help rather than turn a blind eye. She risked her own life and safety to get this angel to us and we are so grateful that she did 🙏 Holly has found the perfect home and we are happy to see her beautiful smile. |
Bubba Lou
|
💙💙BUBBALOO ADOPTED💙💙
February 2019 We are so happy to announce that our sweet old man Bubba has gone to his forever home!! Bubba came to us from Stanislaus County Shelter where his "rescue only" intake photo simply ripped my heart right out....He was a skeleton. Frail. Neglected for years.... he had severe injuries, we can only assume came from the years of neglect he endured. Bubba was my Achilles heel...a senior, BLACK, Pit Bull, with cropped ears. These are the worst traits for a dog in the shelter system. They are significantly more likely to die....not pair all those traits together and you have Bubba. I will never forget the second he came limping out with AC....he looked like the walking dead but his tail was STILL wagging 😭 I knew right then and there that this boy was special. We didn't care about his injuries or the time it would take to treat him. We just knew we had to make 100% certain he has the BEST rest of his days. Bubba was with us for months while he slowly put on weight. When he was healthy enough, he was seen by our Orthopedic Surgeon who took xrays on two separate occasions. He was then evaluated by a dental specialist as most of his teeth are broken/rotting. He was scheduled for multiple visits and procedure and once we determined the best course of action for Bubba, we had his elbows injected for his severe arthritis and the specialist determined that his knees shouldn't be operated on at his stage in life. He also had 5 teeth extracted. Now that we know what is best for Bubba...our next step was to find him a family who would give him a calm, cuddly, slow paced life he needs. A couch to sleep on all day and a deck to sunbathe on. We wanted him to be home with someone all day long and as luck should have it...our prayers were answered. An extension of our PCS family applied for Bubba after the loss of their baby boy. They instantly fell in love with our big love bug and the rest is history. Bubba now will enjoy being with his new dad 24/7, short walks with his sister and all the love and affection his enormous heart desires💜💙 We love you sweet boy and we are so grateful you can in to our lives...and left paw prints in our hearts💙🐾🐾 If you would like to help us save more senior babies by fostering one, visit pitcrew.org and complete a Foster Application 🙏 If you would like to donate towards the care of saving more deserving dogs like Bubba, you may do so directly to our vet's office (Private message for details) or through paypal.me/pitcrewsacramento |
Ginger
|
January 2019
Want to know why we do what we do??? THIS IS WHY. This is Ginger. Ginger came to us after a very diligent shelter volunteer whom I absolutely love, harassed me long enough to get my attention. You see, Ginger was an owner surrender at the Stanislaus County shelter. She was dumped off with two adult GSDs. The shelter separated her from her pack: threw her in a kennel alone where she screamed and cried all night long, night after night. The volunteers couldn't bare to see her there or adopted out in that same area by less than desirable people, for the wrong reasons. She was 15 weeks old. One look at the shelter intake photo of her cowered in the corner, covered in her own feces, shivering from fright....and went down to get her. Ginger is a firecracker. She needed time to decompress. She had very bad separation anxiety...so we denied applicant after applicant. They could not handle her. She was not ready and they were not right. Yes she is cute. Yes she is a pup...BUT she is high maintenance and needs the right, experienced handlers and resident dog to be at her very best. She was scared of men and would growl and bark at all of them. Then a family came to see her at an event and she quite literally choose THEM. Application was flawless. Next step was proper dog introductions, they went perfectly. Last step was the home check, and THIS is how it went....normally we would not allow off leash play on the first day....but this is Ginger's long lost GSP sister. Normally we would not pair up two females...but this was the exception. These two are a PERFECT fit. This family can absolutely handle her and they have been made aware of all of her quirks/issues. They accepted them wholeheartedly. THIS my friends, is why we don't rush adoptions....THIS moment...RIGHT HERE. "I'm not crying, you're freakin crying!!!!"😂 Ginger, we had you from 15 weeks until 8 months and today we left you with your FOREVER family..bittersweet but oh-so-perfect my sweet girl ❤😭❤😭 |
Grover
|
January 2019
GROVER ADOPTED AFTER TWO LONG YEARS!!!!!! Grover came to us such a mess. He went in to emergency surgery for his enlarged prostate within 24 hours of his rescue. He hadn't been neutered and was having lifelong health issues and complications as a result. He bounced from foster to foster because of recurring major medical issues which wouldn't allow him to be cleared for adoption medically: unexplainable bacteria infections, open sores on his legs, enlarged prostate, horrific crop job and recurring ear infections, intestinal sensitivity, etc. Most recently we had 2 growths checked out that came back mass cells, so he will be having both removed. We came to realize that Grover is ALREADY home❤ Nobody will give this little Gargoyle a better life than his current momma. She is a vet tech and Grover goes to work everyday with her to greet all the doggies, people AND kitties ❤ He is one of a kind and we are so excited to announce that Grover IS FINALLY HOME (even though he already knew he was.....we just made it official!). Happy tails sweet boy and I am so excited to watch you enjoying life on your very own IG page!! Follow @groverthegargoyle on Instagram to keep up with G!! PCS made a very special exception for this adoption. We will cover any and all future medical for G and provide a lifetime of dog food for our VERY special needs boy.🐶❤🐶 |
Chrissy (now Butterscotch)
|
January 2019
Can you think of a better way to start the New Year than with a rescue pup finding their forever home? We sure can't!! We are pleased to share that our little Chrissy has been adopted!!!!! And WHAT an adoption! Chrissy will spend her days cruising in her family's RV for an active lifestyle of camping, sand dunes and fresh air! Not only will she have two little boy hoomans all her own to play with at home, she also has a rescue big brother she loves to follow everywhere😍 You want to know the best part??? Chrissy will be a companion dog and seeing-eye dog for her new brother, as he has a degenerative eye disease and will be completely blind in the future💔 We are so glad our adorable little girl will live on with such a great purpose, in such a responsible and experienced, loving family and home🐶❤🐶❤ The same puppy who was so under socialized we couldn't pet her for a week!😁🐶 Chrissy started out in a overcrowded, high kill shelter in Modesto when we spotted her litter while were there for another dog....the entire litter was emaciated with descended bellies full of parasites, eye bulging out of their heads and nails 2" long, so much so that they couldn't walk💔 In the litter of 9, all had been placed on hold for adoption but 3....the all red, or "plain" puppies had not been held. Well screw that! We told them that WE chose them and took them that very day! Look at her now!!!!!!! ❤😍😍😍😍😍 We LOVE happy endings and we look forward to forever home updates from our spunky little girl, her big brother sidekick, amazing parents and little hoomans 😁😁❤❤❤⭐⭐⭐ |

Luna
|
October 2018
🥁🥁IT'S OFFICIAL LUNA ADOPTED🥁🥁 Our precious little pup found her forever home!!! At PCS we don't always like it when our fosters adopt their foster dog. The reason being that it's not how we like to run our rescue. You see, we have a multi-step Adoption Application process and our fosters are not involved in that process. The Adoption Coordinator processes all of our apps and conducts Meet & Greets, Home Checks, resident pet introductions, etc.... all our fosters know is that there is an applicant. Now....if we get to the final stages of approval and we go to let the foster family know the dog is being adopted, they can't just say, "oh we decided to keep her!" For many reasons... the most important reason being that the applicant has already jumped through all of our hoops, put in multiple visits and steps to be approved and now the entire family, including their kids, have fallen in love and are eager for their new doggie to come home...you get the point :) We can't just say, "oh thank you for everything but the foster decided to keep her." That's not how we roll.... Not only is that a bad look, but now we are wasting people's time, crushing their hearts AND we are one less foster home because the foster now has 3 dogs and is at the City limit🤣. So no, we do not allow our fosters to have any special privileges. They do not get first pick over applicants or bumped to the front. Instead, they already know and have agreed to our Foster Agreement which states that if a foster is interested in adopting, they have to apply just like anyone else and there are no advantages AND they have to wait 6 months before they are eligible to apply as a foster. We will decide who adopts by who is best suited for that particular dog's needs🐶🐶 You're probably wondering why they have to wait 6 months 'that doesn't seem fair' you may be thinking....Well this way our applicants have a fair chance to find our adoptable dog and apply. Just like we don't want impulse adopters (just woke up one day and said, "I want a puppy!") we also know that all of our fosters are dog lovers so they WILL fall in love with their foster dog and think they are the best home for them and they cannot imagine letting them go. That's not the case. There are other wonderful homes and we want to give the next deserving pup a chance by making room in a foster home. A Foster Home is just a stepping stone for our rescue dogs to be able to go on to the forever homes❤ By waiting 6 months the foster will be sure as well and not let their emotions convince them it is the only way. Our rules have proven to also be great for those people who say... "I can't foster! I will keep every one!" Well I say, GUESS WHAT!!!! You can't 🤣🤣🤣 What's your excuse now?!!! JK LOL Seriously though, if you are afraid to foster because you won't be able to let them go, foster for us, we won't let you keep them🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Anyway, every once and awhile the stars line up and a foster home is the perfect home for a foster dog. That was certainly the case with Luna and her foster family. Luna was highly adoptable. She received tons of interest...BUT none were quite as perfect for her as her foster family. Not only had none of the applications been right for Luna, it had been 4 months already and it was just becoming more clear that Luna is already home❤❤ Her foster applied to adopt her, just as required. She also assured us that she will continue to foster and would take another foster dog immediately. So you see, rules are rules but there are ALWAYS exceptions to every rule. Luna is the perfect example❤❤ Not only did Luna get the PERFECT forever home for her, but the rescue didn't loose a foster home AND now Bee has been taken in as their new foster baby and she and Luna are having a BLAST together!! Her favorite thing to do is cuddle with the kids (something she couldn't do as my foster baby). A WIN-WIN-WIN!!! We are beyond thrilled for our adorable, active puppy to live such an amazing life with her new family and human siblings❤ Luna came to us after she had been dumped in some berry bushes in a rural area and left for dead....Now she is taking daily walks around berry bushes on her own 10 acres and swimming in her own pond❤😁 How is that for irony??? AND how is that for fate❤ |

Dumpling (now Gunni)
|
Hi Everyone! Dumpling (Aka Gunni the Velvet Sausage) here! I've been with my new family for a whole month now! I'm having a great time living my new life and settling into a routine. I get to go on short walks in the neighborhood most mornings and roll around in the cool dewey grass. I love making new friends 2 legged and 4 legged. I meet new people everyday.
I met my family Veterinarian a week ago. She played on the floor with me, hugged me and kissed me. She told my Mom that I'm in perfect health and a very good girl. Last Wednesday night I got to play with my foster pack at the Pitcrew playgroup. I got lots of kisses from Hogan and my foster momma. I was really happy to see everyone. I like laying on the couch with my babies and watching cartoons. When my family leaves for work, I happily go in my crate and I get to watch cartoons then too. I'm never in my crate very long though. My mom is a little obsessed with me and is always taking my picture or videos and posting them on my Instagram. I'm practically a professional model now. 😉 Hope everyone is well and saying prayers that all my foster brothers and sisters find forever homes soon. Always Loyal, Always Faithful, Your Dumpling You can follow Dumpling on Instagram @gunnidumpling |

Raider
|
Are you ready for this........
Wait for it............ RAIDER ADOPTED AFTER THREE YEARS IN OUR RESCUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's right ladies and gents!! Our little Raider finally gets his happy ending and we couldn't be more filled with joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ The MOST AMAZING family came to us and said, "We want to give a loving home to a dog you've had for awhile and really needs someone to just give them a chance." HOW INCREDIBLE IS THAT?!!!!!! Well originally they were interested in Brooklyn, but after we met this wonderful family, we just knew that Raider was the dog for them! After the first visit, it was clear... Raider was the one 😍 Now, Raider has his own set of issues, which is why he's been passed over time and time again. BUT these amazing, god-sent people quickly recognized that these issues were manageable and they were ready for the challenge. The good outweighed the bad. After a short trial visit to be sure Raider and the young children were a fit, we received a message telling us that he was now home💖 We couldn't be more thrilled and filled with love for our deserving, sweet, loving boy! And what a life!!!! Summers on the boat, spring hikes, DAILY runs, weekend trips with the family, camping, cuddling with the kiddos, work with dad, backyard play, movie snuggling... the list goes on and on! Not only have we been so blessed to find such an amazing family who gave our sweetheart a chance... they also took in a foster dog shortly thereafter! All the sleepless nights of worry as to how we will make ends meet... all the heartbreak... all the challenges we face every single day... are worth it when a family like this comes around and recharges our souls and fills our hearts with faith in humanity. They boost our drive to keep fighting for the breed we love so much. Thanks you guys for seeing what we saw all along in this adorable little boy. Thank you to his foster home who loved him all the while. Thank you to the volunteers that worked with him.. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Raider is FINALLY home. 😂😂😍😍❤ |
Sampson
|
WOHOOOOOOO!!!! SAMPSON GOES HOME!!!!!!
Please help us in wishing our sweet, little-big ball of love and snuggles the best life imaginable!! Sampson came to us from a rural shelter where his future looked bleak....thanks to a village of volunteers, we were able to have him transported to us at PCS where his AMAZING foster parents welcomed him with open arms🐶❤ Just a few short months later, his forever family came along and knew that Sampson was meant to be their little-big couch potato! And that's exactly what he did the second he stepped foot in his new Home! He jumped straight onto the couch and claimed his spot😂😂😂😂 At that moment we knew he was EXACTLY where he is meant to be❤ 🐕❤🐕❤🐕❤🐕❤🐕❤🐕❤🐕❤🐕❤ Congrats sweet boy, your foster parents will miss you, your new parents will love & adore you, and your PCS Family will never forget you...💛💛💛💛💛🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾 **A very special THANK YOU to Kay Gramm-Palmeria for working with our mushy boy and getting him ready for a wonderdul, very bright future** #whywedowhatwedo |

💜 Cami goes to forever home 💜
As you can see Cami has made herself right at home! Cami smiles from ear to ear when she is around kids and is happy as can be! Cami has been through a lot and we are so happy that she has landed this amazing family who had a void losing their beloved Pit just a month ago. 🐾❤️Her forever family had come to a volunteer orientation and Cami was there visiting and they couldn’t stop petting her and loving on her. They fell in love and just had to have her! We are so happy for both this amazing family and our sweetheart Cami! You are home Cami enjoy the cuddles and the kids fighting over who gets you in bed for snuggles! We are stoked that we will still be seeing a lot of you at play group! You’ve stolen many hearts and you deserve it all! We love you Cam Cam! ~PCS |
Simmy (now Maizie)
|
💜💜 SIMMI GOES HOME! 💜💜
March 2018 It's official - Simmi has left the building! This girl was the 'tiniest' of Pearl's litter of giant puppies, but her sweet, gentle personality is huge, and now she has a family to call her own with two little boys to love on! Simmi was all tail wags the minute she walked in the door, and she made herself right at home checking out her new toy basket and bed, and hamming it up for belly rubs from Mom and Dad. She could hardly sit still for a picture, she was so excited to get back to giving kisses! 😍 Congratulations on finding your perfect match, Sim! Your PCS family loves you, and we can't wait to see you grow! ❤️ Simmi is now Maizie, it means Pearl. So she is named after her mom. How cool is that? |
Sammi
|
❤️❤️❤️Sammi adopted❤️❤️❤️
March 2018 Every once in a while someone sets out to foster a dog for us until they find their forever home with no intention of keeping the dog. That WAS the case with Sammi and her foster. However after months of fostering her and several meet and greets with potential adopters where she thought she was going to have to hand Sammi over she decided after 3 days away from her that she couldn’t live without her! FOSTER FAIL👏🐶💕. Our Fosters are so important to what we do and aid in saving more dogs so we only agree to this when the Foster continues to Foster more dogs after adopting:) so we are super excited to say the least that Sammi is this loved and adored and we get to continue to save more lives with new adopter continuous support! Sammi you were home from the start! You deserve this love! 💜 |
Angelo
|
‼️Angelo Adopted‼️🐶 ♥️
March 2018 Born in a shelter to spoiled rotten! Angelo is the last of the boys in Pearls litter to go to forever home! At just 5 months this big ball of love is already 50 pounds of pure love! His new family had a missing void when they lost their last pit and Angelo is sure to fill it! Angelo gets to be spoiled by his new 4 year old brother and two big sisters! He made himself right at home and was welcomed with the worlds largest bully stick! It is one of many I’m sure! He deserves it all and we are so happy for our little Angel:) 👼 💜 ♥️💕❤️♥️💕❤️💜 |
Graham
|
Our little Graham has had so many fun days playing with Bonnie, walking with Buddy and he is learning all of his lessons (and teaching us a few as well). He is a pretty smart boy and has learned how to open his crate when it's not locked, pushing open his gate to get out of the living room to greet his fosters and barking at the sliding backyard door to come back in when he's done doing his business outside. This pocket pit has soo many enduring qualities that will warm anyone's heart. He will paw your arm so that you will pick him up to be on the bed with a nice cuddle (even though he could get on the bed by himself). He loves to push his nose under your hand for a quick lick of your hand. He also snorts...A LOT, when he's smelling, eating and playing.
He met a wonderful forever family and their dog and he just loved to play with his potential doggy pal. His foster family hopes it works well for him/ He's such a wonderful dog who started life being born under a bush and being picked on by his siblings as he was the runt of the litter. Pups like him is why we all volunteer. He is a wonderful, sweet boy!💙 |
Magnus
|
‼️♥️Magnus goes to Forever Home ♥️‼️
February 2018 Another one of Pearl's babies goes home! Magnus is another Oaf that is just so dang adorable! So adorable in fact that these amazing adopters came all the way from Southern California for him! We don’t usually adopt to people out of the area but this great couple and their persistence were to great not to make it happen! They had their hearts set on Magnus and took the 7 hour drive to come make him theirs! What a lucky dog to be that loved already. As you can see he is going to be spoiled with affection and attention and we couldn’t be happier! We can’t wait to see the updates of this sweet boy as he is a PCS favorite and will be missed! We love you Magnus enjoy that beautiful So Cal weather Handsome! 🌊 ☀️ ♥️PCS Family |

Guess who went to her forever home last weekend?!? ❤️❤️
Pixie came to PCS riddled with fleas and with a belly full of worms after being abandoned with her mama and siblings on someone's property. Luckily those days are long behind her, and she'll be living the good life as a giant spoiled lap dog! She's got a big basket full of new toys to play with, a soft bed to sleep on, and most importantly, a new mom and dad who love her to pieces! What more could a puppy ask for?? Congratulations, Pixie! Your PCS family is so happy for you! ❤️ |

At such a young age, she was an excellent mamma and now it's her turn to have a loving, adoring family all her own! Wilma is home! Wilma had so much interest but we were waiting for the perfect fit and we found it. Wilma will be playing ball with her brothers and dress up with her sisters! This active family is perfect for Wilma and will be seen hiking regularly and attending all of the kids sporting events. BABY GOES HOME!!!!
This update is bittersweet for us at PCS.. Baby came to us from Stanislaus Animal Services Agency almost a year ago when she had been adopted out already, then was picked up by Animal Control as a stray. Her family was contacted but never came for her.... being back in the shelter stressed her out beyond belief and she was too anxious to be considered adoptable. So some die-hard shelter volunteers worked endlessly to get Baby to safety with a rescue before they put her to sleep. In comes PCS...boy did we have our hands full! Baby was wonderful! But she had alot of energy and needed a foster home that could work through some of her issues. She had been moved around a few times until we figured out what she needed and who could handle her. Like we said, she is amazing and her name is Baby for a reason!! BUT she can be rude when seeing and meeting new dogs and become overly excited. In came her amazing foster fam! Nothing that cannot be corrected with some training 😊 which is exactly what she got with her foster family. Fast forward 8 months, we received tons of apps for Baby, but we knew they were not the right fit.... then we received an amazing app who wanted to meet her and several others as well. We LOVED this family and we only hoped they would consider our special girl. Guess what?!?! After they met 3 amazing dogs, one they fell in love with online (Cookie), one we recommended for them (Blossom) and the one they were drawn to, Baby, they went home and discussed everything as a family. The response we received the next day BLEW OUR MINDS... "We talked about which dog needs us most, and we've decided that Baby is our girl!" Can you believe that?!!! They knew Baby needed them, they knew she would come with her challenges and they decided that she is the dog they would like to give an amazing home, with loving, patient parents and a young boy all her own to grow up with. Our hearts are filled to the brim! This never happens!! People want the "easy" dog, not the dog that needs THEM... We could not be happier for our Baby-girl and we could not have hand picked a more wonderful family ❤❤❤❤ Thank you to everyone who loved this dog along the way and helped her get to her happy ending. We know it is exactly where she is meant to be!!❤ ~Happy Tails our sweet girl, you deserve it! We will always be here for you~ |
Caramello
|
❤❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
A PUPPY GOES TO HIS NEW HOME!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Can you think of anything better on Thanksgiving?!?? How about showing up a day early to bring your new puppy home for Thanksgiving??? Well we TRIED to surprise them but ended up having to call so they would come home, but still, they weren't expecting their puppy so soon and luckily, we were able to make it happen for our sweet baby Caramello to start his new life with his forever family on Thanksgiving Day!! ❤❤❤ We couldn't be happier for this sweet boy who started out dumped in a vacant lot outside of Yuba City, covered in fleas and emaciated....look at our plump, happy and healthy boy now!! Happy Tails sweet angel, we all love you so very much!! ~Your Pit Crew Family |
Boo
|
Our Little Pocket Pittie is home!!! Boo came a long way, from this little 35lb pittie with demodex to this amazing temperament dog that is absolutely perfection.
Boo has many amazing qualities... Sitting still for the perfect picture just might not be one of them. But who can really blame him? It's hard to hold in your excitement when you've been ADOPTED!! 🎉🎉🎉 Boo now has a family of his own with kids to play with, an older K9 brother to show him the ropes, and even a cat!! Do you think he's happy about it? (We tried to ask, but he was too busy rolling around on the floor, giving kisses, and being a big ham to answer... 😂) Yay, Boo!! Your Pit Crew family will miss you, but we're so happy that you're finally home! ❤️❤️ |
Beau
GUESS WHO'S FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME?!?! 🎉🎉
Our sweet Beau had the roughest start in life when his entire litter contracted parvo at just 8 weeks old. Beau is a fighter, and after a harrowing and heartbreaking few weeks, he SURVIVED!! He's come out of his shell over the past month, and went from being a timid, unsure puppy, to a total playful goofball who loves to enjoy life! Beau is healthy, happy, and now he FINALLY has a mom and dad of his own, AND a dog brother to boot! Congratulations, Beau! We love you, little buddy! ❤️❤️❤️ |
Sweetie
|
💜💜💜SWEETIE GOES HOME!!!💜💜💜💜
Remember the dog we rescued from the abandoned house outside Yuba City???? She has already been adopted!!!!! Her new family had already been approved through our application process, but were on the lookout for a special dog that their litte senior pooch Bits would accept. The second we met Paul and his pooch Bits, we knew Sweetie would be perfect for them! Bits had been depressed since he lost his pit bull brother earlier this year.... and Bits was completely out of sorts when we met him, but the second Sweetie arrived on scene, he sprang to life!! When we arrived to his house for the home visit, it was as if he was saying, "Hey, come on, let me show you where we can play, where we eat and where we sleep!! Follow me!!!" It brought tears to our eyes and Sweetie had never been happier to follow her new big-little brother! They were giving each other kisses all night and we know that Sweetie is EXACTLY where she is meant to be. 💜💜💜 We only had you for a few weeks sweet girl, but you have left paw prints in the hearts of every single one of us. YOU are the reason why we do what we do. For happy endings like this. 💜 You will never know a cold night alone and afraid outside of an abandoned house, ever again.... ~ With all our hearts, we love you forever!! Your Pit Crew Family |
Blink
|
❤️❤️❤️ BLINKY IS HOME ❤️❤️❤️
6 months ago he arrived in our home, and in these 6 months he came a lonnnng way! He found out that brothers, sisters, mom and dad make the best pillows, that playing tug of war is awesome, and most important of all, that he never had to worry anymore about anything because he is part of a family, a family that will always protect him, always snuggle him, always feed him the best food and treats and care for his health. How could we say no? We went from a temporary foster home, to permanent foster home, to his forever home in this period, and really from day one, we couldn't imagine our life without him already! Blinky, us as a family promise you to give the best life that we possibly can, the life that you deserve, and already have been having, these are just 6 months of the rest of your life! We love you like crazy Mom, Dad, Apollo & Athena. |
Luke
|
❤️ Luke Adopted ❤️
Luke and his siblings had a rough start to life and him and his one brother Beau are the only survivors! Luke once battled parvo and fought for his life and now we are so excited to announce he has been adopted and is home and the only thing he will be fighting now is to much love and attention! Is there such a thing? Luke scored with his new family where he will be seen most days running around with his Boston Terrier brother who in no time will teach Luke how to snort like a pig. He also gets to get his energy out with his new human brother and batwoman sister! Saying goodbye is always bittersweet but he deserves this love and family and we look forward to the updates and pictures from his new family! ❤️ love you Luke ❤️ |
Jackson
|
❤🐮 JACKSON ADOPTED! 🐮❤
Our sweet boy Jackson has finally found his perfect match! Jackson can be a little shy at first, but he warmed up real quick as soon as his new mom started pulling out toys for him to check out, and within a few minutes he'd made himself right at home, prancing around the house with his special stuffed cow! Jackson now has a backyard to play in and moms to cuddle and hike with for the rest of his life! Congratulations, buddy - we're so happy for you! ❤❤ |
Teenie
|
Once an orphaned sweet tiny pup minutes from death on the streets of Modesto our Teenie is now at her forever home where she will be spoiled with love from many!! Her new human sister couldn’t be more excited to be best friends with her and they both share a love for the color pink! Teenie definitely scored with this active family and with her love for bigger dogs she will be seen regularly playing with her new doggie Sister Kassy and her new doggy brother Kody! Teenie has been through it all and she has touched the lives of many humans and many Pit Bulls:) We will miss you Teenie but as you can see from these photos she scored and so did her new Family!

Little Miss Smokey Girl.....formerly Miss Tulip, here to tell you that I swoooooooned my way into the hearts of my foster family and they couldn't resist it any longer and they officially adopted me💜💜💜💜Yay me!!!! I even have a new cat brother now! Who would've thought I'd have my own cat?!? I'm still parading around town showing these silly people that think pit bulls are naughty how sweet and lovable we are. It's amazing how many minds you can change with a sweet howl and some tail waggin'. I'll keep you updated on my new adventures and please check out my foster friends that are still available. Romeo
|
"O Romeo, Romeo wherefore art thou Romeo?" His forever home that's where! We are over the moon that our sweet boy Romeo has been adopted as he barely escaped the shelter before being euthanized! Romeo scored big time with his new home where he will be seen cuddling his new dad as he recovers from surgery and getting walks by night with his new Mom. Romeo even gets his own balcony (chair) to look out for his Juliet! This is a bittersweet one for us at PCS as we have all grown to love Romeo and his sweet disposition and those eyes!!!! We look forward to seeing him at play groups and he will forever leave an imprint on us:) "Good night, good night! Parting is such sweet sorrow, that I shall say good night till it be morrow." ❤️❤️

Roxy
🍇🍓ROXY ADOPTED🍓🍇
It is with GREAT PLEASURE that we get to finally announce that our gorgeous Roxy Girl has finally gotten her happily-ever-after! Roxy came to us in horrific condition, just a pathetic excuse of a coat, covered in mange with no will or zest for life...thanks to her AMAZING foster family, Roxy has come leaps and bounds health wise and now she is probably one of the happiest dogs we've ever met! Roxy has a huge heart and loves everyone and everything. She has a whole new lease on life and never stops that happy whole body-wag of hers ❤❤ We've always known that her forever family was out there somewhere and it was just a matter of time before they came for our little princess...and boy were we right! Roxy is beloved by her new parents and she has made herself right at home running zoommies through the giant green lawn in the backyard, getting comfy on her new plush dog bed by the fire place and forgetting all of her manners to love all over her new mom and dad ❤ This one is bittersweet for us at PCS since we have all grown to simply adore miss Roxy, BUT we know she is right where she belongs AND they have promised to bring her to visit and play to our PCS Play Group from time to time! We couldn't ask for more! We love you sweet girl. You leave paw prints in the hearts of all that you meet and we know you will touch the lives and hearts of countless more in your future ❤ ~Love, Your Pit Crew Family |
Poppy
|
🍦🍭POPPY GOES HOME🍭🍦
We are so excited to finally announce that Poppy has been adopted by the PERFECT FAMILY for her!! We've gotten tons of applications for our little Princess Poppy, but as you already know, we don't give our dogs to just anyone...until now none have been right for our sweet girl and were so glad we held out for the PERFECT match. ❤❤ Our adoption process is slow. It is designed that way to weed out impulsive adoptions. Our adoption application is long and detailed, it is designed that way to see how the applicant will navigate through it and how much thought goes into their responses. It is all designed that way so we don't waste any of our time meeting with folks we know don't share the same ideals for responsible pet ownership. The process is multi-step. Step one: application. We normally go back and forth with multiple emails to gain clarity on any questions or concerns we may have. This takes a week or so. Step two: formal meet and greet. Where the family comes to meet the dog of interest (entire family must be present, humans only). We want to see the entire family interact with the dog, this includes the children. The family is checking out the dog while we are checking out the family with our dog. If it is a love connection and the family is the right fit to adopt through us and this particular dog, we schedule step three. Step three: resident pet introductions. If there is another pet of any kind, we will schedule a time to meet and properly introduce the dogs in a neutral territory. Dog intros are slow and we take every precaution to ensure the dogs are set up for success and everyone is safe. One of our trainers is always present. If all goes well, then the last step is a home visit. We don't like to call it a "home inspection" because we are not there to judge how people live. We are there to make sure it is a safe and sanitary environment for our rescue dog. We check the fence and the yard. We will not check every room or make any sort of judgments outside of whether it is a safe and sanitary environment for our rescue dog to live and thrive in. In Poppy's case, she couldn't have been chosen by a better fit for her. Poppy loves other dogs, but her play style can be challenging for another adult dog. As usual, we took the time to introduce the two adult female pit bulls and after a controlled pack walk, these two were A-OK together. When we went for the home visit, Baily was absolutely thrilled to see Poppy. She pranced around and led the way to show Poppy her new acres of land, beautiful home and all the animals near by! Poppy was absolute perfection and these two were off leash and wrestling like crazy within the hour. We don't typically like to have two adult females in a single home, but Poppy and Baily are definitely the exception. These two are long lost besties and we cannot wait to continue to see them grow and flourish in their happy home. ❤❤❤ We will miss you little Popsicle, but we know you are in the BEST hands with your new mom and dad!!! Happy tails sweet girl, it is definitely your time now! ❤ |

📯HEREYEE, HEREYEE...WE HAVE AN OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT TO SHARE WITH EVERYONE📯
Turn up the volume for this one folks!! You won't want to miss this tea! ❤❤❤ Resident PCS dog Cosmo made this official decision.... |
Oliver
💛🌟💛OLIVER GOES HOME💛🌟💛
Ok, so where to begin...it has taken me a few weeks to sit down and write this update. Mainly because I thought it was too good to be true BUT now after several months, I know for certain Oliver is home😍
In case you don't remember, here's a quick recap. Oliver was "Noah" at the Stanislaus Shelter where one of the diehard volunteers noticed him crouched down in the corner of his kennel, not eating and not drinking the entire time he was there. He was absolutely terrified and would sit shivering from head to toe, he wouldn't leave the kennel or come near anybody.... but his photos called to me. Once I got there, I knew we were his only shot. He was already scheduled for euthanasia the next day😢
There was no other choice, he was coming home with me. I scooped him up and carried him out of the shelter. We stopped at the bench to give him a chance to relax outside and I knew instantly...he knew he was safe💛 We stopped at Pet Food Express in Roseville to give him a bath and have him looked at at VIP Pet Clinic Roseville.
Then at home it took Oliver several months to come out of his shell. But he did. I got to see his sweet, playful side. He absolutely loves other dogs and resident PCS dogs Cosmo and Porsha taught him how to "dog." In my opinion, after months of observing Ollie, I would say he's never been anyone's pet. He was an outside guard dog who was chained up and neglected, more than likely abused. His teeth were all ground down, more than likely from chewing a chain or fence to get free. He was a walking skeleton with most of his fur missing, scabs all over his little, pathetic body....and yet his eyes...those eyes have been so soulful since the first day we met. His eyes have so much pain in them, yet they still glimmer with hope....as if he's asking "is this really all there is for me". His eyes are heartbreaking and yet beautiful at the same time. Then there was his screams. Oliver would whine and let out this loud blood curling scream as if he was literally screaming for help. He literally sounded like a crying baby....it was heart wrenching. As the months went by, the screams started to become less and less. He started to play. He started to ask for kisses and cuddles. He was finally A DOG and he understood he was safe and loved.
Fast forward the heartache continues... We received a foster application and we thought it was the perfect situation for Oliver to continue to grow and progress. Boy were we wrong. This "foster" was a joke. She didn't have the experience she claimed to have, which is fine because were happy to provide training or send a trainer to her, but that's not what she wanted. So rather than wait the 2 days we asked her to wait for us to come get him (weekends are extremely busy for us with dozens of meet and greets, home checks, vet appointments, training with fosters, etc) you can imagine our rage when we received a call from the wonderful folks at Front Street who informed us Oliver was dumped off to them. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?! Of all the dogs in the world, this is the last dog that can handle being abandoned for yet another time...well I couldn't get there fast enough. And come to find out this individual has done this with another rescue and another shelter before. The folks at the shelter were kind enough to keep Oliver in a quieter area since he was so terribly afraid. He immediately recognized my voice and jumped up and ran to me. I promised him right then and there that I would NEVER let anything happen to him again. He was MY DOG NOW. Fast forward another several months, we received a wonderful application for Babs. After the meet and greet we knew it wasn't a match. This adopter wanted an older dog, a buddy who would be with her all the time at home, run errands with her, sleep with her, get along with her son's senior pit bull and FIVE cats, one of which was blind and deaf...quite a tall order and yet something told me that this amazing woman might just love Ollie as I do. So we setup a time to meet and it was an instant connection. We sat for hours at a local park and got to know eathother while Oliver was clearly happy to meet her. That never happens!! He usually hides behind me. She walked him around and he gladly followed her💛💛💛 This wonderful adopter saw what we saw...she saw the pain and hope in his eyes and decided he was the dog for her💛. We couldn't be more excited, but hold on, we have to test him with cats and the other dog.
We took Oliver over and setup a barrier at the front door to where he could come inside and take treats from me while the cats safely came up to investigate. He sniffed them and came right back to me. Absolutely no prey drive, absolutely no aggression. We removed the barrier, he said hello to all the cats, ran over to the couch and plopped onto the middle of the couch as if he had lived there for years!! I sobbed😭. I knew he was home. And what a home?! He is with his new mom 24/7. He goes everywhere with her. He sleeps on the bed with her and all the cats. It is absolute PERFECTION. I never thought Oliver would leave me and I had accepted that. I accepted that I was his mom and protector for the rest of his life and I wouldn't let anyone hurt him ever again. BUT there was more in the cards for our sweet, innocent boy...there was the PERFECT MATCH for him and he is now loved more than ever and we get to see him continue to grow and learn to trust in his new, forever, wonderful home. Enjoy these photos of his journey and we are reminded yet again why we do what we do 😂 😍 😁 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
Ok, so where to begin...it has taken me a few weeks to sit down and write this update.

Betty

BETTY GOES HOME!!!
A true rags to riches story for our sweet baby Betty. As the last one in her litter, after being dumped in the middle of nowhere in San Bernardino, little Betty has been patiently (well as patiently as a puppy can be, ha!) waiting for her forever home to swoop her up. That day has finally come and we couldn't be happier💜 Betty and her new big brother Kodiak are made for one another! Were not kidding, these two absolutely adore eathother 😍 We are so happy for Betty and her new family, she deserves every last second of it! We love you to the moon and back, ~Your Pit Crew Family |
Misty
For some good news, guess who has officially been taken off the market? Misty💗💗 We had our dog intros yesterday and thanks to proper introductions, these two gals are already the best of fur-iends!! Misty is spoken for and goes home next week!
💛💛MISTY ADOPTED💛💛 Our gorgeous pup finally gets swooped up by her perfect family! Misty now lives with a new feline friend and her new best pal who she plays with every single day when her mom takes her to work with her. We couldn't be happier for our beautiful eyed babygirl!! We love you always and forever 💛 ~Your Pit Crew Family |
Star
⭐️⭐️HAPPY ENDING FOR STAR!!⭐️⭐️
Star officially went home on Sunday!! After a very uneasy start in this world and the only survivor in her litter, our sweet sweet Star Baby found herself the perfect little family! Star and her family (Indy and Jackson), were taken from a homeless camp in Modesto and brought to the Stanislaus County Shelter, where they were at risk to be euthanized. Star was picked up by Pit Crew at just 2 days old, where she was fostered and grew into the healthy beautiful spunky baby she is today! In Stars new home, she has a brother named Cooper and two loving new parents, who have been patiently awaiting the day she came home! We love you to the moon and back baby Star!! We hope to see you soon at play dates on Wednesday! Thank you to all that support Pit Crew Sacramento, if it wasn't for you we would not have the ability to find these amazing dogs such good homes!! |
Bam Bam
❤❤❤YIPEEEEEE!! BAM-BAM GOES HOME❤❤❤
We are so happy our sweet, older soul puppy who won the hearts of his new mom & dad instantly! Bam-Bam was one of the Flintstones Litter who was abandoned in San Bernardino County in the dessert on an old beat up mattress with no food or water. Look at him now!! Unfortunately his foster also loved him, but it was not the best place for him when he became an adult. So sadly it was a challenge to obtain our puppy and take him to his loving, forever family. We appreciate all of our fosters and volunteers so it's very disheartening when they turn against us all because they cannot keep the dog when it's not what's best for the dog, rather what they want. We even have a foster agreement that explains the dog may not be adopted for a period of 6 months at least since it is not far to our public to show the world how wonderful our dogs are then say, sorry the foster decided to keep them. We treat all of our applications the same and we don't play favorites. It simply wouldn't be fair to that wonderful family (such as this one) who has been patiently waiting, going through all the steps and fallen in love with him already. Usually we don't like to flood our page with negativity but in this case, it makes us very sad that this foster felt we were wrong for adopting our our dog to a wonderful home....they even went so far as to write negative reviews on us :( and we did everything to save Bam-Bam and his entire litter. We did everything for this foster, and all of our fosters. All we ask is to watch your email and calendar. I mean, we can't do EVERYTHING 😩 for them, but we sure try to. Which brings me to our next point. If you've ever worked with us and had a good experience or you follow our mission, please go to yelp and share your opinions. We don't want the only people who review us to be those who are denied adoption or angry they couldn't keep the foster dog. We only want the best for our dogs and just like the story with the dog who was involved in the tragic event with the elderly woman, we have to be extra careful when placing our amazing rescue doggies. Bam-Bam has the best new life and we couldn't be happier! It just goes to show we made the right decision!!!! If you've adopted from us please take a second to write a yelp review and talk about your experience. We know there are far more people who appreciate our process versus those who don't. THANKS ALL AND CONGRATS BAM❤❤ |
Jasmine
|
😍😍😍Jasmine GOES HOME!!😍😍😍
Saturday was bittersweet for us - our sweet baby girl who we've had since birth, went to her perfect home! Jasmine was the last of the Disney litter to be adopted and not because there was no interest in her...we hadn't approved anyone because we knew the lifestyle she needed. She is lazy, goofy, cuddly and loves other dogs. Luckily, her perfect match came along nearly 7 months after she was born on my bathroom floor! Her new big brother Isaac couldn't be any sweeter and she had a ball running zoomies in her new plush green backyard after a short walk around the block with her new brother (because she couldn't last any longer lol). Her new parents adore her and have been looking for a year to find the right fit for them and Isaac. They knew instantly when they saw Jasmine and read her profile, she belonged to them. And we agree!! So, it is with great sadness AND happiness that we kiss and hug Jasmine goodbye so she can finally have the happy ending she more than deserves. Her new life will be amazing and her big brother is simply perfect for her! Jasmine is truly one of a kind and we are so damn lucky we were able to rescue her. She has left paw prints on all of our hearts...she will be missed tremendously but we have no doubt in our minds that she is in the best family for her who loves her just as much as we do.❤ We look forward to having her come to our Pit Crew Play Dates once and awhile, and her new parents are excited to bring her around so we're so thankful she will still be a part of our lives and a true Pit Bull Breed Ambassador. ❤ "Jasmine, what can I say....nobody can take your place in my heart and it is heavy today as I kiss you goodbye...but I know you're in good hands and your new mom and dad love you with all their hearts. ❤ I will always be here for you and PCS is a better rescue for having had the pleasure of knowing a sweet soul like yours. We love you!!!!" Foster Mamma Ilbra |
Belle
❤💜💙 BELLE ADOPTED! 💙💜❤
After six whole months, Belle has finally found her forever home! Belle is such a playful and well-behaved puppy, we were shocked that she wasn't snatched up right away, but the wait was well worth it - turns out she just needed a little extra time for her perfect match to come along! She finally has a family all her own, complete with a human baby sister to grow up alongside, and boy was she excited to start her new life - she hopped out of the car at drop-off and never looked back! Congratulations on your happily ever after, sweet girl! |
Barney
Sweet baby boy Barney goes to his forever home!! It was love at first sight for Barney's new family the moment they laid eyes on our gorgeous boy! And who could blame them?? Look at him! But the ultimate test was meeting the little family dog, a toothless teacup Yorkie with a big attitude:) Barney said hello and was instantly corrected for being too interested and from then on he kept a healthy distance out of respect for the older, yet far smaller, family pooch. Exactly what we want to see when there is such a size difference.
Barney is so special to us, he was abandoned on the side of the road with his mom and siblings at only weeks old in San Bernardino. Now there's nothing but sunny days, long walks in the beach and plenty of cuddling by the fireplace with his new adoring family and k9 brother. Did we mention Barney has a little human boy too??? Barney and his kid are sure to be best of friends and we can't wait to see these two grow up and explore life together! Happy Tails darling boy! We love you! ~Your Pit Crew Family |
Biggie
❤Biggie Smalls Goes Home!❤
Our famous little nugget has found his forever home! We were thrilled when Steven and Desiree came to us in search of a new family member. Being that they had a bird and senior indoor rescue cat, this was no small order. After reviewing their app and meeting with them, we learned that they are very involved in hotrods and car shows, so their new pooch will be going along with them and would need to be tolerant of loud noises, kids, other dogs, birds AND cats. That's quite a tall order for some dogs but luckily we had several bomb proof dogs that fit their lifestyle. We recommend Petey, Biggie and Hogan. We don't typically allow trial stays however being that there is a cat in the home, we had to be sure it was a match for everyone's safety. While they absolutely loved Hogan and Petey, neither seemed to gel with the cat well enough but Biggie was absolutely perfect! He had a healthy interest coupled with a healthy respect after a correction or two😜 Biggie is simply perfect and we all adore him, so much that we wanted to keep him for ourselves as a breed and rescue ambassador. BUT Biggies new parents didn't stop there. They want to foster too!! They were so appreciative that we went the extra mile, took several weeks to properly assess their needs and wants as well as our dogs in their environment. Not only did Biggs get a new, loving, forever home, PCS got two new breed ambassadors, volunteers and a dedicated foster family! Talk about AMAZING! Steven has invited us to represent at several car shows coming up and we're thrilled to go out with our famous Pit Bull Kissing Booth and show more people how amazing this breed truly is! That's our number one goal at these events. We know other rescues don't like to attend unless there is something in it for them but not us...even if we change one person's perception then it was a success! Biggie will be attending as well and we're so happy for him! We love you Biggie, you've made tiny, short little paw prints in all of our hearts. You are one of a kind and we're so happy for you and your new family! ~Your Pit Crew Family |
Potter
**POTTER ADOPTED**
Our adorable little Potter finally gets his happy ending! This sweet little guy was abandoned in a box outside of Contra Costa Animal Services (tag them) on a cold and rainy night. The shelter director was there after hours working as she usually is, and notified PCS of the abandoned babies. One of our volunteers raced down to get them the next day and they were on their way to their happy endings in our foster program. Because fosters stepped up to house and love this litter of innocent babies, each and every one of them went on to be adopted into a family all their own where they are loved dearly! Potter was especially popular and we received tons of interest in him. But as you know, we don't play favorites, bypass any of our procedures or place dogs in a first come first serve fashion. We evaluate each applicant and determine who is the best for each individual dog. In Potters case his new mammas are exactly what he's dreamed about! He has a kitty friend now, lots of friends to play with and new adventures each day! We can't wait to receive more updates on Potter and see him loving his life! One that was possible thanks to the kindness of strangers who volunteered to foster dogs for our rescue organization. Care to save a life like Potters? Visit pitcrew.org for a foster app today❤❤❤ Congrats sweet boy, we will always be here for you and love you with all of our hearts❤❤ ~ Your Pit Crew Family |
Mia
Little Miss Mia Pia Pie goes home!! Sounds like the title of a children's book right?? Well Mia finally got her very own fairytale ending! Mia was with her foster family for 7 months and while they adored her beyond belief, no one could figure out why she hadn't been adopted? She and her brother were found living in a field at 3 months old scavenging for scraps of food. Her brother was adopted right away but Mia patiently waited for her happy ending, and boy are we glad she did because she scored big time in the furever family department! Her new family wanted a pup they could take on trail runs, hiking, and camping! One they could spoil rotten and love forever. One to grow up with her very own little boy!
We have already gotten texts and pictures saying "We love her!" "She's perfect!" "She's so well behaved and such a sweetheart!" Ours hearts can barely take it and we look forward to updates for years to come! Congrats sweet girl!! #whywedowhatwedo #adoptdontshop #fureverhome |
Princess
WOOHOOOOO!!!!
Remember the little hairless, emaciated "Pit Bull " that was brought out from Stanislaus Animal Shelter on a huge, metal, cold cart and tossed over to us like yesterday's garbage because they didn't want to touch her?!?!?! Well look at her now!!! This certain shelter staff member that treated Princess this way can kiss her adorable, now furry hiney!! And ours too! We complained to the shelter director about this individual we've appropriately named the Grim Reaper, since she decides which dogs are euthanized, why and when.... Anyway, enough about that miserable human being and back to our pretty, pretty Princess! Princess blossomed in our foster care and won the heart of a passerby at HER FIRST adoption event. It was a match made in heaven! Princess LOVES her new human and her new human absolutely adores our little Princess. We love happy endings! This one in particular was bitter sweet since we all quickly fell head over heels for this darling little angel. But to see her smile the day she went to her forever home and the photos of her in her life, fill our hearts with such joy! Princess is the happiest little pup around and we're so grateful to have had the fortune of knowing her. Congrats you beautiful little girl you! We love you oh so much! ~Your Pit Crew Family |
Bolt
THAT'S RIGHT LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, BOLT HAS GONE TO HIS FOREVER HOME!
Our goofball Bolt FINALLY finds his perfect family! In case you haven't been following Bolts story, we rescued him from Yolo County Animal Shelter over TWO YEARS AGO! Bolt hadn't been adopted at no fault of his own. We knew the lifestyle he needed and to many people's disappointment, we just knew it wasn't a good fit for our playful, silly boy. So he waited, patiently. Then he waited some more...meet and greet after meet and greet. Adoption event after adoption event. THEN, the most amazing thing happened! His new mamma found him on Pet Finder! She applied for Bolt and we knew almost instantly that Bolt could quite possibly belong to her!!! So they came to meet Bolt, and 3 other amazing PCS dogs. We always suggest folks meet a few dogs before they decide which pup is right for them. But to our delight, they knew after the first two dogs that Bolt was theirs....and so did we! THIS WAS A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN and we couldn't be more excited for our amazing, deserving, loving, goofy boy Bolt! He's going to have THE BEST life hiking, running, swimming, going to downtown events and places and best of all, two loving new parents who love and adore every last bit of our darling boy all to himself ❤❤❤CONGRATS BOLT! NOBODY DESERVES THIS MORE THAN YOU❤❤❤ You have left your paw prints in all of our hearts and we can't wait to see your new life and best of all, you enjoying it! ~We will forever love you and be here for you and your new family~ Happy Tails sweet boy...😭 |
Tinkerbelle
Tink Goes Home!
Our adorable little baby-girl Tinkerbelle has found her forever family!!! Tink and her new big brother Ruger are two peas in a pod! They love to play together and we couldn't have hand picked a better family for our sweet girl! Tink is a bit on the shy side so having a k9 big bro to show her the ropes is PERFECT! Oh yeah, did we mention she has a little human brother too?! This cute little pup had a rough start to life but now thanks to a loving foster family, she's got a second chance at a wonderful life! Congrats sweet baby-girl, we will always love you and be here for you! Congrats to her new family and thank you for choosing to adopt and give this angel a loving, forever home! Forever home update! Our little Tinkerbelle is so very loved❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ We LOVE forever home updates!!!! |
Trudy
Charming
WOOP-WOOP our little Prince CHARMING Finally Goes home!! We've been searching long and hard to find this little stud the best home and since he has exhibited some Alpha tendencies and the stubborn, bull-headedness of the Bulldog side of him, we felt he needed an extremely experienced handler, with additional dogs in the pack who would manage him at this young age and keep him in his place and social, not to mention keep him close enough to PCS in distance so that we may interject and offer our assistance should any training or behavioral issues arise. At PCS it is our goal to place our dogs in loving, forever homes that are most suitable for them, despite how much someone else might simply want the cute puppy they saw photos of. In this case Charming has had tons of interest but thanks to our resident behavioral analyst and loving foster homes, we knew what he needed in order to be a successful ambassador of his breed for the rest of his life. We know there were some fantastic families out of the area who showed a tremendous amount of interest in Charming but in this case, we just need to be close enough to help out should his stubborn streak come to a head. We encourage you to consider another dog of ours as we have many wonderful, amazing dogs who are bomb proof! Blink, Biggie and Baby are just to name a few! Charming now has an experienced family who can be home all day to work with him, and older female k9 sister who will check his *ss when he gets out of line, a male brother playmate who won't try to dominate, a little female dog sister who rules the roost and a loving family who will make sure to get him all the exercise, work and training he needs to ensure he is the silly, stubborn, affectionate boy we all love and adore!
Thank you Teresa and family for choosing to adopt a fourth dog in to your pack and to adopt from PCS! We love you Charming! |
Jewl
OUR LITTLE JEWL GOES HOME!! From being dragged and kicked around in a parking lot to a loving, warm, responsible, FOREVER FAMILY! We are so happy for our sweet Jewl, she is no doubt the twinkle in her new parents eyes and her big sister absolutely adores her! Happy Tails sweet girl! We are so happy you finally have the love and home you deserve! You will always be a Jen to us and forever part of our Pit Crew Sacramento Rescue family!!💜❤💛💖 |
Winnie
Wohoooooo!!! WINNIE GOES HOME!! The last from her litter, Winnie has finally been adopted by the most amazing family and they couldn't be more perfect for her. They instantly fell in love with our little princess and her adorable ways, can you blame them?! Winnie is certainly one of a kind and now her new family is complete. She has two little humans all of her own that she gets to play with and a large, gorgeous backyard for all three of them. Winnie is the perfect addition to this amazing family and we are so grateful they chose her!
Happy Tails in full effect! **We love you sweet girl** Your Pit Crew Family |
Mickey
*MICKEY GOES TO HIS FOREVER HOME*
It is about time somebody saw how amazing our little handsome boy is! We were thrilled when a previous adopter reached out after adopting Coco back in July 2015 and were ready to add a second Pit Bull to their loving family. To our excitement, they had their eyes set on sweet Mickey and we knew he and Coco would be a PERFECT MATCH! After a slow introduction, Coco quickly accepted Mickey and they were all tail wags, play bows and silly play hops for hours! Mickey is now the twinkle in his new families eyes and he is absolutely in love with Coco, we certainly don't blame him :) Coco is such a special girl and we are blessed to have this amazing family choose Mickey to be part of their loving family. Mickey was being surrendered by a young man on Craigslist for free after the boy had rescued him from a neglectful neighbor but did not have the means to care for him... Mickey had a bad case of Demodex and thanks to his amazing foster home, he was feeling better and looking great in just a few short months. Mickey is such a sweetheart and now he finally has his own family to love and cherish him for the rest of his day. We will miss you sweet boy but you are in great hands and will have the best life ever in Auburn with a gorgeous home and huge backyard to play in with your new sissy! ~Your Pit Crew Family |
Cindy
*CINDY ADOPTED!!*
Our precious little Cindy has gone to her forever home in Colfax! Those ears of hers have her new mamma laughing hysterically around the clock! Cindy has two new k9 brothers and sister Chi's that she absolutely adores already. She also quickly made friends with the house cat, who didn't want anything to do with her...we are confident Cindy will win her over in no time as well. Cindy had a rough start to life after her mom injured her on accident during play, and she had several weeks of rehab until she was all patched up. It took her sometime to trust people again when picking her up, and a new foster family that loved her and showed her she would never be hurt ever again. She will enjoy daily walks in the gorgeous trails in Colfax, playtime with her doggie siblings, and tons of love and cuddles from her new Mommys! We couldn't be happier for our little Cindy! Happy tails sweet girl, you will be dearly missed by us all. |
Gus
GUS ADOPTED❤❤
The happy day has finally arrived for our favorite little guy Gus Gus. We found the perfect match for our low energy goofy Gus and as you can see he is quite happy in his new home. Although his foster family misses him greatly they are over the moon happy Gus will be spending quality time with his new owner. |
Piper
We are so happy for Piper! She finally found her happy ending and we couldn't be happier! Piper now has a whole farm of her own with a big k9 brother, 3 cats of her own, two little people who adore her and all the farm animals and room to run and play she's always dreamed of! Now if we could only get her to understand the llamas don't want to play with her, we'd be in great shape:)
**We love you baby girl and you will be truly missed** ~Your Pit Crew Family |

Harry
|
Sweet baby Harry ADOPTED! ❤ |
KC
Prince
|
It's official! PRINCE IS HOME! Another foster failure and we couldn't be happier! PCS was in on the surprise so while the kids had no idea the foster puppy they have fallen in love with, wasn't going to leaving any time soon... Christmas morning came and they were presented with a new collar...on that collar was a shiny new tag, "Prince" it read. . And on the back, all four family members names and numbers were listed. The kids screamed and cried with joy! Prince was home for Christmas and happily ever after! Now Riley (formerly Macie also adopted through PCS) has a Pit Bull litte brother to play with and the family has grown even bigger with their sweet new baby boy!! And let's not fail to mention that this AMAZING family still fosters for Pit Crew! Foster baby Harry is quite comfortable snuggling with Prince and the kids in front of the fireplace.
We are so happy for you our little PCS Prince! You and Riley are two very lucky dogs and Harry is getting tons of love and affection while he patiently waits for his happy ending to arrive. We LOVE our die-hard families!!! |
JoJo
Peso
Our sweet little Peso is ADOPTED!! We are so excited to announce that the runt of this litter, Peso, was the first to go home! Peso was abandoned in a cardboard box in front of Contra Costa County Shelter at 8pm on a Friday night and the shelter director called us that same night to see if we can help them. All 4 were emaciated and freezing. PCS picked them up the following day and over the past 3 weeks they have gained healthy weight, come out of their shells and become adorable, playful puppies we all love dearly. We were concerned that Peso wouldn't make it at first since they all had severe kennel cough and Peso in particular wouldn't eat anything. Luckily we found food he LOVES and he slowly put weight on, got stronger and stronger and now he is fully healed & bosses all his siblings around! Peso is a tiny thing weighing in at 4 lbs and we don't expect that he will get much bigger. One of our dedicated foster's daughter fell in love and the rest is history. Peso is a tough little guy and we couldn't be happier with this adoption. He is going to be spoiled rotten and we wouldn't have it any other way! Congrats little man, you definitely deserve the best and that's exactly what you have now!

Peanut
Happy Ending: As they say, we saved the best for last! Our sweet little Peanut was returned to us when the family wasn't ready for a puppy. Her perfect family came and swept her off her feet this weekend! Peanut loves her new kitty siblings and her coat matches them too! Peanut and her 3 feline friends are the perfect fit and we couldn't be happier for our sweet baby girl. She has truly found her happy ending and she is absolutely perfect for her new family!

Theo
Our gorgeous stud Theo goes home!!! We couldn't be happier for our darling blue pup to have been adopted by such a loving family who instantly fell for "little" blue eyes at the Pet Food Express Adoption Fair in Marin a few weeks ago! They were putty in his paws at first glance. Theo has that effect on people! We at PCS all know that already far too well. Theo is one of a kind and we are so glad that his new family loves him just as much as we do! He deserves the very best of everything and we couldn't be happier to see him have a happy ending all his own...be good sweet boy, we love you so, so very much!
~Your Pit Crew Family We are here for you always and forever!! |
Calvin
Calvin Goes Home!! Our sweet baby boy Calvin was the last of Daisy's litter, and as they say, they kept the best for last! Calvin has been adopted by the PERFECT family for him where he will get to grow up with his very own kid! Calvin and his new little human are two peas in a pod. They absolutely love eachother and Calvin follows her around kissing her every chance he gets. Calvin is such a lucky boy to have a wonderful new family that absolutely adores him. His gentle temperament is exactly what they have been looking for! A match made in heaven! We are so happy for you darling boy!! You are such a special boy and we will rest easy tonight knowing you will be loved and we'll taken care of for all of your days.
Happily ever after.. ~Your Pit Crew Family |
Darlin
Great news! Our sweet little Darlin goes to her forever home and we couldn't be more excited and happy for her! She was being fostered by one of our foster families who have fostered many great pups of ours and they fell in love! Some call that a foster fail but we call it a happy ending for all! Darlin not only won the heart of her foster mom but also her fur foster brother and sister! The 3 pups together are just awesome...like they were meant to be! Congrats to Darlin and her new family! We look forward to getting updates on how she is doing and growing up!

Mabel
MABEL GOES TO HER FOREVER HOME!!!!!
Mabels story is a particularly special one to us at Pit Crew Sacramento Rescue. We pulled Mabel after she had been tied up and shot at with BB-GUNS by the kids in neighborhood. When Animal Control arrived, she was covered in bullet holes and all pf her front teeth had been kicked out. How could anybody possibly hurt such an innocent animal??? We will never understand. She arrived to PCS in the worst condition, blood pouring out of her mouth.... missing her teeth, covered in fleas and ticks and just filthy. But that once broken tail, still wagged upon meeting us... we knew instantly that this was one special girl. Mabel was adopted out to what seemed like a loving family but we quickly learned that they pulled the wool over all of our eyes. When we went to check on our sweet girl in her new home (as we do if we feel it is necessary) we found Mabel in terrible shape. She appeared to have been locked in the garage for days on end. She was covered in grease and just filthy all over again. We vowed then and there that Mabel would not be adopted out to just anyone ever again. We promised her that we would protect her and if that meant she stayed in our foster program for the rest of her life, we would gladly adopt her ourselves. Then to our surprise months later, we received an application from a very nice woman who explained to us that she had been following Mabels story since the first day we got her. She had an older dog of her own at that time who didn't have much time left, but she vowed that if Mabel was still available, she had already fallen in love and would be honored to make Mabel a part of her family and love her unconditionally. Sadly when her own beloved Pit Mix passed on, Mabel had been adopted to the fraud family who shall remain nameless. Well when Kate (the new applicant) learned that we took Mabel back, she knew in her heart that it was meant to be. She explained her journey to us in her email and we knew deep down in our hearts, THIS was Mabels mom. Kate didn't think we would approve her adopting Mabel because of the distance....but when it's right. It's right. We invited Kate to come and meet Mabel in person and just as we suspected, it was love at first sight.... Mabel fell into her arms and the two instantly bonded. That next weekend we made a trip to Lake Tahoe for the home-check and as we walked through Kate's neighborhood all the neighbors came out to meet the famous Mabel. "We've been waiting for you to arrive Mabel!" they each said. Our hearts were full and tears of joy ran down our faces... Mabel was FINALLY home. Mabel now goes to work with Kate everyday to her personally owned Lake Tahoe Boutique and has quickly become the talk of the town! She spends her days greeting all thr guests at the store or on her private beach running along shore or cuddled by the fire with her adoring mom. Mabel is such a special dog and Kate is such a special person. We couldn't have hand picked a better match. Your past is ancient history Mabel, and you have nothing but amazing, loving, wonderful memories to make in the future. YOU are the reason we kill ourselves running this rescue. YOU are our hero. We love you with all of our hearts sweet, sweet Mabel and THANK YOU Kate, from the bottom of our hearts for loving Mabel just as she is. We are so overjoyed to share with you all that Mabel is finally home. #whywedowhatwedo |
Penny
We are so excited to announce that our angel Penny has gone to her forever home in Martinez!!!! Penny came to us after she and her siblings were roaming the rural streets of Wasco with their amazing Mamma leading the way. Mamma went to her forever home last week and sweet baby Penny is the first of her litter to go to a home all her own! Congrats sweet girl, you are definitely the light of your new parents life! We couldn't be happier for you!!!!!
~Your Pit Crew Family |
Dottie
Our GORGEOUS girl Dottie goes home! Dottie came to us with her 3 puppies after being abandoned and picked up by Animal Control in rural Wasco County. We can't stand the thought of a sweet mamma and her babies living in the horrible shelter environment so we had all 4 of them transported 6 hours to us here in Sacramento and boy are we glad we did!! Dottie is an AMAZING dog with tons of love to give. She loves other dogs and we quickly learned that she is quite literally the perfect dog. Her new family was interested in another dog, but after our doggie introductions with their darling senior lab, sadly it wasn't a love connection. BUT we had a feeling that Dottie would be just perfect for this wonderful family and once they met her, they agreed that Dottie belonged with them:) we are so happy for our sweet Dottie and we couldn't have asked for a more wonderful family to add Dottie into their lives and hearts. We will miss her smiling face but we know that she finally has the home she has always deserved!
We are so happy for you sweet girl, you have left paw prints in all of our hearts... you are so very loved by us and we know your new family will give you the best home! |
Louie
Charlie
CHARLIE GIRL GOES HOME!!
This sweet little soul went from a puppy on death row/death bed to a healthy, happy BEAUTIFUL little lady! During her transformation she caught the eye of someone who fell in love with her and followed her story in hopes she would still be available when the timing was right to adopt her! After going above and beyond to meet all our requirements and traveling hundreds of miles, the time is now and Charlie girl is headed to southern California to her furever mama's new home where she'll soak up some rays and of course lots of love! A true rags to riches happily ever after! Congrats sweet baby! We can't wait for updates and pictures of your adventures to come! Xoxo #whywedowhatwedo ~Your Pit Crew Family |
Jersey
Jersey Boy Goes Home! Our sweet little boy didn't have the easiest start in life but he is sure going to make up that now and we are so happy for him! He has such a great life ahead of him with his fur brother and sister, human brother who loves him to pieces already, and great parents that will take him every where they go! He is such a great puppy...so smart, fun, sweet and lovable and will make a great addition to his wonderful new home!
Congrats sweet baby boy! We can't wait for updates and pictures of your adventures to come!#whywedowhatwedo XOXO, ~Your Pit Crew Family |
Sassy
|
SASSY GOES HOME!!!! So not too long ago we posted about how Sassy's foster mom is moving to Vegas and we needed to find Sassy a new foster home, remember?? Some time past and nobody came forward to help our sweet Sassy... but then to our surprise we received a text message from her foster asking how we felt about Sassy moving to Las Vegas and becoming a permanent member of her family....well you can imagine our surprise. We didnt even know that she was thinking about keeping her...but we were ecstatic! We are definitely on board! If you haven't seen the foster updates we post of Sassy swimming and hiking at the river with her foster sister Daisy (also a PCS rescued dog) and her foster brother Bagheera, then you have to check them out!!! The three of them are so happy together and we couldn't be more thrilled that Amber has come to realize that Sassy is already home. Just look at these two together! They even have the same smile!!!
Congrats Sassy-pants, you deserve the very best and it truly doesn't get any better then this. And a very sincere thank you to Amber and all of the support she has given Pit Crew Sacramento Rescue over the years. You are and always will be part of our PCS family. Thank you for all your service, the countless hours of driving and transporting dogs, the contributions to medical care for our rescues, the many, many foster dogs that are now living their dreams in a loving home because you took them into your foster care when nobody else would...and of course, most importantly...giving not one but TWO PCS rescue dogs a forever, loving home! From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU. You are very special to us and we will miss you every single day. #whywedowhatwedo ~Your Pit Crew Family |
Elliot
ADOPTED!!!! Elliot went to his now forever home last week but since there was a resident dog, we wanted to make sure they got along before announcing that he was there to stay! Well this photo says it all!!!! Elliot is officially off the market and we couldn't be happier! His new family adopted their first dog from PCS as well, so we were THRILLED when they came to us when they decided to add another to their pack. Elliot LOVES his new big sister and his two human kids. We can't wait to watch Elliot grow with his new and FOREVER family.
A HUGE thank you to the Parker family for see what we have seen in this loving boy all along...they say the best is saved for last and now we know why...THIS is Elliots' family. THIS is where he was meant to be. We just love happy endings...congrats sweet boy and come see us often:) #whywedowhatwedo #adoptdontshop ~Your Pit Crew Family |
Jack
Another case of foster failure! We love it when this happens. Jack has been with his foster family for over a year and a half and he has grown to become a huge part of the family. He is the golden boy and has gotten along with his big sister Neaeh where they love to play fetch in the backyard with each other. Jack makes everyone in the family happy because he's always enthusiastic and energetic. We love Jack and he will always be our baby boy furever! Welcome to the Chanontree family Jack!
|
Daisy
Our little Daisy goes home!!!! Well for a visit to make sure she gets along with everyone, including the 2 cats, but after our visit there, it's clear to see that will be right at home!! Daisy could care less about the cats, in fact she was playbowing to try to get them to chase her! Daisy made herself right at home as soon as we got there. Her new big brother Biggs loves her as well!!! Well, what's not to love?! We are so thrilled for this little angel know earth...after starting out being chained in a yard and watching her puppy die in front of her, she has stolen the hearts of every single person in Pit Crew Sacramento Rescue. Daisy is a darling little girl without a single mean bone in her body. She is the PERFECT little girl, or Angel as we like to call her. Her new family loves everything about her and Daisy is simply perfect for them:) we will miss our little lizard (Daisy's
super long tongue that's always sticking out), but we couldn't have asked for a better family to adopt her! Truly a happy ending! We love you sweet Daisy and we are so glad you will have the home and family you deserve! #whywedowhatwedo ~Your Pit Crew Family |
Hershey
Ginger
We LOVE when fosters fall head over heels in love with their foster pups, and in this case, we could not be happier. Ginger is a special dog and her new mom has a very special bond with her. There is no better place for Ginger then where she is now and we are so happy she can finally be a happy dog with a loving and patient owner who absolutely adores her. We are so happy for you Ginger!

Buddy
|
Foster Failure Alert! And we couldn't be happier!
It wasn't until last weekend when Buddy's foster family was packing up the car to hit the road to Monterey for a family trip, when they noticed Buddy watching them through the window with that sad look on his face, "Hey, where ya guys goin??" It was that moment that they decided, they couldn't leave him behind and Buddy belonged to them So even though they already made arrangements for a pet sitter, they went in and got the big lug to take along! We are so glad that they did! Buddy and his now forever sister, Kaylee (also a Pit Crew rescue dog, formerly known as Bonnie) absolutely LOVE each other! We are so excited that Buddy will spend the rest of his days INSIDE as part of the family (he was previously chained outside for his entire life), and continue to hog the bed with his new mom, dad and k9 sister, all while snoring the night away in sheer, happy bliss...Buddy is an amazing dog and all of us at Pit Crew Sacramento love him dearly. He is a true ambassador of his breed and we look forward to having him attend our events to show people how amazing these dogs really are! Buddy aka The Gentle Giant, aka Big Boy, aka Big Baby, aka Lover Boy, is the happiest he has ever been with his new family and we wouldn't have it any other way!!!!! Buddy had an amazing time at on his trip and it brought such happy tears to our eyes when his family reported back to us, that it was clear that neither Buddy nor Kaylee had ever seen a large body of water or the beach. Buddy had a blast exploring the trails, water and climbing rocks, while Kaylee kicked back with her momma on the beach and collected sea shells. THIS is what we call, happily-ever-after... Thank you Devorak family for adopting our Big Lover Boy into your family! We know he is going to be spoiled rotten and he deserves every ounce of it! ~All Our Love, Your Pit Crew Family |
Wesley
WOHOOOOOOOOOOOO! Wesley goes home!!! We are so excited to announce that our sweet little boy has finally found his furever home! Wesley came to us from a particularly sad situation. He was confiscated as a 5 week old puppy by a local Sheriffs department when they busted a Pit Bull dog-fighting ring. Local authorities in that area wanted to get Wesley out of that County and in to safety as soon as they could. So when they reached out to us, we welcomed this sweet, innocent pup with open arms. Wesley is such a sweet dog and we are so excited that he has been adopted by part of our PCS Fam! This family adopted Rose from us last year (now Kenzie) and now they have added Wesley to their furever family! It truly is a "fur-ever" home, with 4 Pit Bulls and out numbering the humans, which we simply LOVE! We truly could not wish for a better family to adopt Wes. He will be in the BEST care and we cannot wait to get updates of him as he grows up (last we heard he was a whopping 35 lbs at 7 months) so we don't know just how big he will get. We sure hope he stays his little pint-sized self. Although, we love him with all of our hearts no matter what :)
Thank you Deidre and Mike for giving not one, but TWO PCS Rescue dogs a loving home to call their own. You are both such amazing people and this world is better for having you in it. We love your entire family very much and we can't wait to see Wesley on Sunday at the car show before he leaves to the Bay Area permanently! If you want to come by and give Wes a kiss goodbye, he will be in our kissing booth. |
Fiona
Fiona Adopted!!!
We are so excited our little see demodex baby Fiona will spend the rest of her days with her two young boys and big brother Campi! Fiona is quite possibly the sweetest dog we have ever met! She fits right in with her new family, good with the senior cat, loves other dogs and follows the twin boys everywhere! This adoption is particularly close to our hearts since Fiona has been through so much and still managed to be an innocent, love-bug, true to Pittie nature. We love you sweet girl! You deserve the very best!!! ~ Your Pit Crew Family |
Clyde
|
From rags to riches!! Clyde's story is truly one of a kind. He went from living in a remote field without food or water, covered in puncture wounds and gashes (no doubt from protecting Bonnie, the female he was found with, from the other stray dogs in the area) just a skeleton of a dog, to being diagnosed with a Stage 5 heart murmur, to having heart surgery with great success and against all odds, his murmur is no longer detectable! What a lucky, lucky boy! Clyde is famous among Pit Crew people. He has defied death on numerous occasions and won the hearts of every single person he has ever met. He is truly the reason why we do what we do. We are thrilled that part of the Pit Crew Family will be calling Clyde their own forever We could not be happier with this adoption and we are all better people for having known Clyde. He is our hero in more ways than one....we Love you big boy. More than you will ever know. You are forever a part of our hearts....Thank you Carter Family for adding Clyde into your already animal full home! Now you have one Bonnie and two Clyde's. Yup, you heard correctly! There are TWO dogs named Clyde Carter now!! Clyde Junior and Clyde senior We LOVE them both!!
|
Sonny
|
It is about time! Finally Sonny goes home! We cannot believe it took so long to find Sonny his forever home, but now that we have, we understand why Sonny is super lucky to become part of the Hernandez family where he will have kids to play with, a gorgeous yard to run in and a warm bed to lay his head every night. Sonny is such an amazing dog and we are so excited such a wonderful family has chosen him as their own!
We love you sweet Sonny! ~Your Pit Crew Family |
Simon
Our scared little pup Simon is ADOPTED!!!!! Simon broke all of our hearts when we saw him on the video we received from the shelter in Wasco. He was curled up on a bed with his face buried into his paws in a tight little ball and shaking from head to toe...we are not exaggerating in the slightest! We never even saw his face! He didn't eat or drink at the shelter. He was a shell of a pup, terrified beyond imagination. We network the Wasco dogs (like we always try to do) and an angel on earth came forward and said she would foster Simon. When the van arrived with our two Pit Bull pups, Simon the terrier mix and Trudy the growling and teeth baring Chihuahua, we thought, "What have we gotten ourselves into?!" We let Simon out of his kennel and he ran to the nearest corner and hid in fright! We couldn't even touch him without his entire body jumping five feet off the floor and running from terror....shaking all over. Our hearts broke.....Poor sweet boy...What have you been through that makes you this way....Well fast forward to now our little scared Simon, now Wrangler, is wagging his tail, playing with his foster brothers and sisters, walking on leash and cuddling with this foster, now FUREVER family! We could NOT be happier with the way Wranglers story has ended. He is loved unconditionally and he will never, ever feel anything but love and happiness from now on. Thank you Michelle and family for showing Wrangler how wonderful life can be. We are forever in your debt for opening your home and hearts to this sweet, innocent soul. Here is what his new Mom has to say,
"I'm in love with sweet sweet Simon. Now known as wrangler. He fits in great in our house, he now has a brother, Fred and sister, Ginger and friend named Jack , Shelby and Max. He sleeps in a queen sized bed and is spoiled just like he deserves. He has come so far! He didn't even know what a toy was. I will continue to give him love and safety and continue to watch him gain confidence." We can't wait to get the next update on Wrangler and his spoiled new life! |
Hunny
We are so happy to announce that our darling puppy Hunny finally gets her happy ending! We are just thrilled with this adoption. Hunny's new family are huge Pit Bull Advocates and long time rescue supporters we have worked with in the past. We are honored that they chose to adopt from us and Hunny couldn't be more perfect for their family. Truly a match made in heaven...every little girl needs a pup to grow up with. Hunny has a new best friend for life! We love you Hunny-Bear! As it goes, they save the best for last...and Hunny was the last of her litter to be adopted and she is the best match for her new family! ~Your Pit Crew Family |
Penelope
Roo
Ella
Foster Failure strikes again!! Congrats to our darling little pup Ella! Ella is just the perfect addition for Allison and her family! Ella has a new doggy brother and sister to play with all day and cuddle with by night. Out of all the puppies in this litter, Ella had the most gentle disposition. This whole litter was exceptionally calm and sweet, but Ella's gentle soul takes the cake:) She won over her new k-9 brother in the first few days and she has even started to win over her grumpy big sis too! Thank you for giving our lovable little girl such a wonderful home Allison, we couldn't be happier with this adoption! |
Boston
We are so excited to announce that our sweet baby boy Boston goes to his forever home! Boston has a new family who adores him, a new doggy sister who will show him the ropes and an adorable human sister who he can follow around everywhere :) we kissed our darling pup goodbye today and he left for his new home in beautiful Napa. Save some wine for us sweet boy, we all love you so very much! We couldn't be happier for Boston. Truly a happy ending for all.. ~Your Pit Crew Family |
Cassidy
We are so excited to announce that our sweet Cassidy has found her forever home! Thank you Chassity and family for falling in love with this big, goofy girl just as we have! Cassidy and her new brother Knightly have already become fast friends. She will enjoy chasing her big Brothers leash all around the gorgeous backyard for the rest of days. We love you Cass! We are so happy such an amazing family took you in as their own ~Love Always, Your Pit Crew Family |
Nikki
We are so happy to be able to share with everyone that our sweet, darling little girl Nikki has found by far the PERFECT home and family all her own! We pulled Nikki from the euthanasia list at Contra Costa animal shelter a few months ago where her owner had dumped her after Nikki injured her paw quite severely and her owner could not afford to get her the medical care she so desperately needed. Nikki was left to manage with her injury for well over a week before her owners finally surrendered her to the shelter...at the shelter she completely shut down and was absolutely TERRIFIED. Why did they leave me here? What did I do wrong? Don't they love me anymore. .. we cannot imagine the thoughts going through her head. An amazing foster family took her in where she slowly began to trust again. Nikki blossomed and showed her amazing personality to her foster family who just adored her. Shortly after a wonderful family came to our adoption event to meet two different dogs but could not resist Nikki when they saw her curled up on her fosters lap :) they fell in love upon the first meeting and Nikki now officially has a family where she will never, ever feel anything but unconditional love, security and happiness. Congratulations little girl, you finally got your happy ending..
We love you, Pit Crew Family |
Bonnie
Today we woke up with heavy hearts when we realized our sweet Bon-Bon was no longer with us. But that quickly turned around when we started to think about the amazing family she now has who loves her just as we have for the last year with Pit Crew. In case you don't already know, Bonnie is one of the two field dogs we rescued from the Del Paso Heights area last summer. It took us 10 hours to catch her! She lived there for over a year (we think maybe 2). She was all skin and bones with a broken hip. Bonnie has come such a long way from the day she came in to our foster program. She wouldn't even walk she was just paralyzed with fear and trusted no one. Over time she came out of her shell and into the hearts of every person she met. Bonnie is Clyde's partner in crime and we are just filled with happiness to see these dogs make it through the tough times and on to their fresh, bright futures. Bonnie will always be a Pit Crew dog and forever embedded in who we are and what we stand for. We are so happy for you darling angel. "I woke up sobbing because you weren't next to me sweet girl....but I quickly recovered because I know you finally have the life you have always dreamed of. Lord knows you deserve it," your foster momma.
Sky (Squirt)
Squirt now Sky goes to her amazing forever home with her proud new poppa! Sky came to us from death row at the Contra Costa shelter where she was slated to be killed for her skin condition....her future is bright from here out and this silly, happy little girl will brighten the lives of everyone she meets just as she has ours!!
We love you little "Squirt"!
Mamma
|
We adopted Mamma Last month and have just been so happy with her. She has been learning to take treats gentle and it doing much better with that. We now are calling her Stitch. She has been so amazing with our three human kiddos and our older canine kiddo has even started playing with her now. We are just so happy with her and love her so much!

Rascal
Rascal goes home!
We will miss this little guy so much! He definitely lives up to his name and loves everyone and every dog he meets! Rascal started out in a cold, dark crate in a garage without food or water for the first month of his life. But now he will be loved and cherished immensely, just as he should be. We love you sweet boy and there are nothing but warm and affectionate days in your bright future!

Dallas
Dallas came from rural Wasco, where his time was up and the shelter was overfull. This sweet boy quickly won the hearts of everyone in our organization and proved to be a perfect little gentleman. Sergio and Sarah were looking for the perfect pooch to join their family, but there was one little catch...they have a kitty too!
So we sent Dallas on a weekend field trip with one of our team members who has an indoor cat, the experience to handle the situation and lives on a farm with tons of other animals too! Dallas was a rockstar!
Not only was he AMAZING with the cat, he did amazing with all the animals! We were thrilled. Next we took him to meet his potential new parents cat, and PERFECTION!
Dallas proved to us again that he is a solid dog and he will do great in any environment. BUT he's not going to just anyone, he's going exactly where he is meant to be...with this wonderful couple who already love him just as we do.
We couldn't be happier for this silly pup. It takes an army to rescue, and Dallas is proof of that, but boy aren't we lucky to have had the opportunity to rescue this sweet boy. He is so special and we are so happy! We love you Dallas!

Riley
We are so excited for Riley! Her perfect family finally came to take her home!! We just knew they were out there somewhere
Her new family has been talking about getting a dog for 8 YEARS!! They finally reached a point where they were ready and the search began...Riley was just PERFECT for them, and they are PERFECT for her!
Sweet Riley was surrendered to a city shelter in Nevada (we think because her family moved and didn't take her with them) and she was patiently waiting at the shelter for months. Finally her time was up and the amazing volunteers put in the work necessary to network and get her rescued. We were so happy we could help and she will never, ever be abandoned again!
Nothing but affection, belly-rubs, cuddles and tons of love from now on. Congrats sweet Riley, you will be missed but we couldn't be happier for you!

Wilbur
We LOVE a good Foster Failure! Especially when the dog goes from being in desperate need of help to being the one helping people (ironic huh?)! We couldn't be happier for Ace (brother of Elliot and Charlie)!
From his furever family: "This gorgeous boy is the perfect fit in our little puzzle here! As you can see his hair is growing back (and he smells way better) him and Frank and the best of friends and come to work with me everyday where they are dotedon left and right! Right now we're working on training him to be a therapy dog, when he finishes training we're hoping we will be able to have him go to the children's hospital and hang out with kids since he loves mine so much. He really has the best temperament and is the biggest snuggle bug." Congrats sweet boy!! #whywedowhatwedo #allthehappytears |
Chuck Norris
Chuck is on his way to becoming a mobility service dog (the 4th Pit Crew Dog adopted so far this year for Service!!) We are so proud of you sweet boy! You give us the hope we need to continue on. Patunia
Sweet little Petunia went to her furever home and boy is she lucky! Mom, dad and fur sister are pretty lucky too because she is such a fun and loving pup! Congrats to the whole family! #whywedowhatwedo |
Lady
LADY has a furever home!! We love starting the New Year with adoptions! Lady has the sweetest soul of any dog we've met so its easy to see why her new family fell in love immediately! Her new fur-brother Hagrid can be picky and tends to be people oriented but even he couldn't resist her love! It's always icing on the cake when people in law enforcement choose to adopt a pitty and proudly join the army of breed ambassadors!
Cheers to our little Ladybug!
Mini
Mini goes home!! This sweet little thing had tons of interest! We weren't the least bit surprised considering she is 14 weeks old and the size of a 6 week old :) hence her most fitting name "Mini" She will spend her days playing with her new dachshund brother and sister AND her Rottie/lab puppy cousin! Mini started out in a tiny cage laying in her own filth...full of worms, starving and couldn't even walk comfortably. That is all in the past now! Her future is filled with sunny days, warm nights and tons of love! Come visit us soon Mini-mouse! ~ Your Pit Crew Family |
Rory
Our sweet boy Rory has gone to his forever home!
Lola
Our sweet Lola has been swept up for the Holidays by one of our amazing volunteer's family! Our future Pit Crew President Payton (10 years old) and her wonderful family have decided that Lola belongs to them! We couldn't be happier for this little piglet! (She snorts a lot, ha!) Merry Christmas Lola-bean! You are the greatest gift of all:)
We are so glad you will stay in the Pit Crew Family! You will be able to meet our Lola at the next Pit Crew Kissing Booth! She was made to star in our booth!

Our loveable, hugable, tank of a girl Big Ang goes home just in time for Christmas! She is one lucky girl! We love you sweet girl and we are so grateful for Nate and his family who had their sights set on Big Ang and her adorable smile:)
Nugget
NUGGET GOES HOME!! He and sweet Delilah hit it off immediately and like anyone who meets Nugget, the family fell in love with him! We love expanding Pit Crew families! Congrats Schnug-a-bug!
Bentley
Yay! Thank you so much for helping me find my dog Payton (formerly known as Bentley) is just who I was looking for. He's super sociable, highly trainable, and confident but looking for guidance, the perfect combo to start on the road to being my go everywhere dog! We've spent the weekend working on walking nicely on leash (which he's a champ at already), meeting all the neighbors, family, and friends (they're all in love with him), and working on some house manners. We even had our initial cat intro session (ok, we're gonna need some work there but totally workable). He is a champion sleeper...and snorer, and I know I've done a great job with the puppy tireds when his tongue sticks out while he's sleeping. It's awesome.
As for the name...there's a story. Walter Payton was an awesome running back for the Chicago Bears in the late '70s and 80s. His nickname was "Sweetness". And sweetness just seemed so right for this dog. So, Bentley now has a formal fancy show dog name..."Patyon as in Walter as in Sweetness." But he'll go by Payton amongst friends.
Thank you again for helping me find my guy!

Miss Nellie - belly is doing fantastic! You probably don't recognize this little pup. She was in TERRIBLE condition when we rescued her and her brother before they were put down. But look at her now! What a transformation! Thank you to everyone who so generously made a contribution for treating our mange puppies who otherwise would be put to sleep for a treatable skin condition that is in most cases not contagious. We continue to pull the demodex dogs so every penny helps! If you can help with medical expenses please go to www.pitcrew.org and click on our donations link OR we always need supplies and you can go to our Amazon Wishlist and purchase items that will be delivered directly to our group!

Titus
This was very bitter sweet but the reason we do what we do... the happy ending!! We could not have dreamed up a better family to adopt our big lover boy! It was love at first sight on both sides. I think his new family went to the store and bought one of everything maybe even two! It sealed the deal when he was greeted with a plethora of his ultimate weakness... Kong squeakies and kids! They have promised updates and pictures for years to come! I woke up with an empty spot in my living room and my heart this morning but know it will be filled with one of the many new pups Pit Crew has taken on! Cheers to Titus!
Tido
Our beloved Tido has finally gone to his forever home!! Tido came in at 6 weeks with a belly full of worms, malnourished, emaciated and completely out of sorts. With lots of TLC and plenty of vet care, he quickly became the gorgeous boy he is today who turned heads with his distinct colors and bright blue eyes! Tido was surrendered to us back in March and his brother Tyson was adopted over a month ago. For the life of us, we could not figure out why Tido was not yet adopted! But needless to say, the BEST FIT FOR HIM came along soon after. A Pit Crew Veteran family fell in love with our sweet boy and decided that he belonged with them...we couldn't agree more! Tido will continue on with his positive training with his two new parents who love their pets with all that they have. Tido was also lucky enough to be reunited with his foster sister Hazel! Hazel and Tido get to live out the rest of their lives happily and together...in a family all their own. We
are so happy for Tido and we are So So very grateful to his foster family for doing such a wonderful job teaching this once lost and confused pup, the ways of the world and how truly amazing life can be

Aurora
This sweet young girl won everyone over with her adorable face and one-of-a-kind attitude. She has so much personality and for being the smallest pup in her foster home, she didn't let anyone forget about her...ever! We were shocked that we had her as long as we did and suddenly, out of nowhere, her new family found their new baby! We always say the dog picks you, you don't pick your dog. And that was absolutely the case with Aurora's family. They didn't stand a chance once she decided she loved them Aurora is super smart and playful and now she gets to spend her days playing with two new kitty siblings! She is such a lucky girl who has a new family that absolutely adores her and her feisty attitude We are so happy for you little one, we will miss you but we know you are in THE BEST hands...**Puppy Kisses**

Daisy
Daisy Adopted! Obviously we love all of our dogs but this sweet girl stole everyone's heart. She came to us without a lick of fur on her, paw pads torn off, ears swollen shut and afraid of the world around her since the only family she ever knew just dumped her at the shelter one day...for no good reason. She must have wondered what she did wrong.. .why didn't they love her anymore... well Our beloved Daisy is a hero to us! We love her with all of our hearts and she has been officially adopted by the most amazing woman who will treat her like the royal princess she is!! We love you baby girl. You finally get the life you have always deserved :)
