Boy-O-Boy it's been a crazy couple of weeks for Pit Crew Sacramento! Shelter dogs whose time was up in the shelter system or were slated to be euthanized due to health conditions that are 100% treatable. Overbred and thrown out Bulldog mix Babs, our poor, innocent demodex girl Blondie and last but certainly not least Short-Stack, who's time was up but as it turns out, has multiple medical issues himself. Stay tuned for an update on Short-Stack soon as well. In addition to the three shelter dogs we rescued, we also took in a found dog who had been dumped at McDonalds and was begging for food for an entire week before someone finally contacted PCS and he was in our care that same day (Biggie aka Biggs). Also we cannot forget our sweet abuse case, Jewel....that brings us to dun...dun....dun... SIX rescued dogs in 10 days! We always need volunteers and foster homes, so there's no better time than the present to become part of our Pit Bull loving Crew!!
In addition to physical help, we also have a huge need for supplies for our foster dogs. We've updated our Amazon wishlist with the things we need either now, or things we need regularly like Coconut Oil, Peanut Butter, Nylabones, etc. We currently have a huge need for flea and tick prevention, outdoor kennels, puppy pads, large and XL metal wire collapsable crates and micro chips. So whether you can spare $20 and donate two micro chips, or $500 and contribute a standalone, safe outdoor kennel, we need your help! Here is our Amazon Wishlist and thank you in advance for your support and supplies during such a busy time for us when we need them most!
3/3/2017 Teddy and Babs get along like two peas in a pod, even when they're trying to one-up each other in the manners department! Babs' back is a little hunched from years of being kept on a chain so her "sit" looks like more of a "lounge", but it definitely counts, and she's working for that treat!
Can these guys get any more adorable?! We almost can't handle the cuteness!
4/22/2017 **Foster Update**Babs & Jasmine enjoying some inside play time on a rainy day. These two are too cute together! Babs always trips when she gets the zoomies and Jasmine isn't much more coordinated! 😂
5/6/2017 😍FOSTER UPDATE 😍
Babs has the best short arms ever! Her fur is almost completely grown in and she's looking and feeling amazing. Babs is one of the happiest dogs I've ever met, despite having been chained up her entire life and used as a breeding machine. 😥 She is always smiling and wagging her little, funky nub.
We absolutely adore Babs and we feel lucky to have been fortunate enough to rescue her...she is truly one in a million. We've had several applications for Babs, but sadly they haven't panned out to be the right fit to treat her like the queen she is. We are in no rush to adopt our dogs out to just anybody. They have to be the right fit and right for each individual dog. Babs will not be kept outside again. Babs will not be kept in the garage. Babs will sleep in the king sized bed, eat the best food, get daily walks and regular baths and vet care because THAT is what Babs deserves! 💜💋💜
5/17/2018 FOSTER UPDATEBabs gets another burst of energy right before bedtime, everyday never fails! She likes to play tug of war with any of the dogs that will play too, OR she will steal your shoes and socks off your feet and make her own game. 😁 Babs has her foster mom laughing CONSTANTLY. She is such a happy girl! We love everything about her and we can't wait to find her the perfect, loving home. ❤
